Maybe S&W (and all firearm mfgrs) should do a "Barrett" on NY and stop all sales and service to the state law enforcement and state government.

Can this model be carried "cocked and locked"? Is the Safety also a decocker? I use a Fobus holster, but is mainly made for a Sig, any suggestions? I have looked every where for something different, but still a "paddle type". I guess I still have a lot to learn about this gun...

I recently picked up my first S&W, a 3914. Trying now to gather what info is available on it. I have been into firearms for a long time but there is always room for more learning.

I am sort of new here and can't seem to find any info on date of mfg by the serial no. I recently purchased a 3914 and from what I can find is, seems like they are no longer in production. Any point in the right direction is appreciated. Hope this is in the right place.
