    Upgrade versus buy new

Maybe I need to perform a better search criteria... the laser I was looking at was wrong model. The Shield version runs $180... my bad. I am looking at the different models available outside of CT. So thank you for the suggestions on LaserMax. Also looking at reviews for Streamlight and...

    Upgrade versus buy new

Have a trivial issue. I own an original model Shield 9mm and M&P Bodyguard 380. Both without lasers. I'm developing minor shakes (old age sucks). I'm now looking to supplement my two carry guns with lasers... mainly for practice shooting to determine adjustments in grip and technique. While I'm...

    Shield reflex optics PC model

Does anyone know who manufactures the optics included with the new PC Shield? I'm debating between having my current Shield 1.0 milled and configured for Holosun 507k. I find that optic somewhat better than the Romeo or RMSc. There's no published info on the sight used by SW for their PC models...

    .22lr conversion

What sucks is that with current market prices, the 15-22 is running just as much as an upper. Plus, 3 months ago no one would even think of offering nearly $7-800 for a sport upper. I know prices will normalize in about 3 months so I guess I should get the most out of a trade now while I can.

    .22lr conversion

I only have the BCG. My deal was sweetened when offered the MOE 15-22 for my upper. I think I may go this route and wait the 6 monrhs for my piston upper. Hell, I could actually look that I'm getting a moe 15-22 and a piston upper for my$800. Plus I could easily flip my BCG. Going dedicated...

    .22lr conversion

Sorry if this has been discussed prior, but have an issue I'm looking for others' opions. Currently have a BCG conversion... love it. Accuracy with bulk ammo out to 50 yrds is OK. I'll fire 2 or 3 rounds of .223 at end of session to blow out any junk. Was offered even trade of 15-22 moe...

M&P15 Sport upper conversion to .22lr

Hoping this is the correct area for posting this question. Currently own a M&P15 Sport and purchased a new upper with gas piston. I would like to use the Sport upper and convert to a dedicated .22lr tack driver. I already own/use a Cierner BCG with a CMMG anti-jam charging handle and a Taccom...

    pistol caliber carbine

Rumors of various companies with pistol caliber carbines for Shot 2013. Any chance Smith will be one of them? No other company are making carbines that will use M&P mags. Would be a great addition to the M&P line. Also, with the likelehood of a renewed assault weapons ban, pistol ammunition...

Full size .357 sig barrel in .40 compact

Should not be done as per S&W. M&P barrels are consent at the muzzle. I verified this with calibers and the muzzle is 0.01 thicker the last 1/2". This allows for a tight fit at the muzzle breach. Barrels are made slide specific. Something to be made aware with conversion barrels. Thanks for...

Full size .357 sig barrel in .40 compact

I was more concerned with banging the edge of the barrel. But then I see SL also makes an extended barrel for compact with ports or threads and many competition shooters use an extended barrel on their full size to add compensators. I'm just going to use setup for straight range fun and play.

Full size .357 sig barrel in .40 compact

Nope... straight barrel on both. Tested with the full size barrel on the compact frame and no issues with brick of .357 sig. So next, I took my full size 9mm barrel. Measured barrel end with caliber... 0.565". Both the .357 sig and .40sw barrels were 0.565" as well. All three were within...

Full size .357 sig barrel in .40 compact

My carry piece is a M&P 40c. I have been looking high and low for a .357 sig compact barrel and other than Storm Lake have come up with nothing. The sig barrel would be for range time and not for carry... basically looking for a fun shooter that makes alot of noise and flash. So not looking to...

    M&P single stack

No... the "Baby Glock" 26... 9mm. It's still a double stack but the boxy feeling just doesn't feel right in my hands. Have held the 36 and it is definately slimmer... but not looking for a .45 at this time.

    M&P single stack

And before brought up... the Glock's just feel too boxy in my small hands... even the 26. But then, they will probably never release a single stack regardless of what their customer base wants though.
