I just got my gun back from a well known gunsmith shop in LA. I asked them to do something about the binding-like feel on double-action and do a trigger job. I got it back, and the trigger pull is not any better. The binding-like feel is still there. And the trigger is not as smooth as I...
Hi. What is the trigger reach like on the model 52 38spl compared to a 1911?
I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a 52 and have it modified for PPC or buy a PPC 1911 9mm like Les Baer's. They both cost about the same. The 52 will need a lot of work like Aristocrat 3 way sight and 6 round...
That bomar sight does look shorter than the stock sight. So, I think it should shoot lower than stock. But I agree it may not be low enough for "neck hold."
I've a Davis PPC revolver with Aristocrat rib sight. I don't see how I could put that on a semi. It would block the ejection port.
I...
Hi.
I'm looking to buy a 52. Found this one with a Bomar sight. Is this suitable for "neck hold" for PPC match? I.e. 7-yard poi hold, 25 & 50-yard "neck hold". There's no foto of the top of the sight. But I assume there's a knob to move the sights up and down to three preset positions.
I got the 41 cuz I've been told Rugers are hard to clean. When I shoot with my buddy, his Ruger malfunctions, but my 41 never. Mine eats any ammo. I attributed to my religious cleaning. My buddy's gun is always dirty.
My 41 likes to eat anything from Walmart so far. Looking for tighter groups. What ammo are people using in Bullseye competition or similar accuracy based sport? Thanks.
I've been dry firing this 31 a lot. And the tightness during the middle of the trigger pull is still there. I've clipped two coils from main spring and two coils from rebound spring. I'm lost. Anyone know a S&W revolver gunsmith near Houston?
When I work the action with the cover off, I think I...
I say pick the one that has less people. I went to a few match, and man they last a long time. I get there at 8 and don't leave until 1 o'clock. I was pretty tired and hungry afterwards. Our club is so huge and so many members, and both IDPA and USPCS are wildly popular in this part. We only...
Oh, I forgot about the hazard shipping fee for the calcium carbide. It's like $50.
I guess I'll give the carbide a try. Just can't see the sights during winter months. It's the 50 yard out course of fire that gives me so much trouble. I literally can't see the front sight at all some times when...
That's what I thought. My other 31 is from Banga Punta era, and I bought it like-NIB and it has very smooth DA. This 31 is pre-BP, so it's suppose to be good, right? But the DA trigger is not. To be fair, the SA trigger is better on this 31.
It has a coil spring. Me cheap; I just trimmed off 2 coils from the spring. Trigger got better; it is usuable now. But the tightness is still a wee bit noticeable. It actually feels alot like my Ruger SP101 trigger, which I don't like Maybe I'm expecting too much from these little J frames. I've...
