If you haven't actually fired the gun yet, try it before you go spending any money. Mine actually had a very nice, but heavy, pull right out of the box. Eventually, I replaced the springs with JP Enterprises "yellow" springs -- which cost a whopping $15 -- and that reduced the pull weight...

Hi Folks! I had a great day at the range with my M&P 15-22... The greatness had nothing to do with the gun's accuracy. (And it is very accurate.) Or with the cool flashlight. (Which is mounted with a FAB holder.) Or with the Minox scope. (Which, I admit, is overkill.) Or with the Magpul BAD...

Thank Santa profusely :D So don't be in a hurry to get rid of the stock "iron" sights. They're actually quite good. It may be that the red dot sights you've seen simply have big dots (3-5 MOA). It may be that they've been set too bright. Or they may just be junky red dots with lousy optics...

I like and use Colibris, but... They WILL get stuck in some barrels. Always listen for the impact sound of the little 20 grain bullet, and if you don't hear it, check the barrel before firing another round.
