    39-2 Extractor Issues

What is my best guidance for disassembly? I have a revolver manual but nothing for autos. I can field strip the old girl with my eyes closed, it's beautiful, but I need more/better instructions if I'm going to be driving out pins and such. Thanks And yes; sound advice, I'll go through and...

    39-2 Extractor Issues

Well, I've got a nice 39-2 I picked up used and the only issue is extracting. It doesn't matter what handload I use and it will do it with the variety of factory ammo as well, just goes along and then will not pull an empty. No predictability to it. I've examined the extractor carefully...

    39-2 Questions

Thanks for the input, I hadn't thought about springs. IIRC the seller said he had installed some aftermarket ones (on the gun). Sounds like a thorough disassembly is in order. The magazines I have are factory, do you know if Brownells or somebody else sells springs separately?

    39-2 Questions

I've got a 39-2 in pretty good shape. The problem with it is it's finicky. Occasionally it won't feed a round and fairly regularly it won't extract one. I've tried several handloads thinking maybe "power" needs to go up or down to no avail. It will do these shennanigans with factory ammo as...

    Holster for 39

Green Frog, I hadn't thought about the Sam Browne option, of course there would be a ton of holsters! 67tempest I like the looks of the Galco. Both great considerations

    Holster for 39

I'm looking for input from your experience with a holster for the Model 39. Not worried about concealed carry per se, the pancake type holsters do pretty well for that but I have a CCW and holster that I already use. Mostly just something secure and comfortable and not plastic. If you have a...

Can a 19-4 handle a steady diet of factory 357?

I'll cast my vote for a regular diet of "healthy" 38 loads. I like to shoot my magnums with magnums but it gets old after a while. Whether it's my 44 or my 357, I like a warm special load. I can't think of anything I'd come across in the woods that my 44 special with a 250 grain cast bullet...

*SOLD* Beretta Magazines 2 for $50

Want to sell two genuine Italian Beretta magazines for the 92. They are new and unused, one local fellow loaded a few rounds, as far as I know they've been sitting in box untouched since new for maybe 25 years. They are 15 round capacity so I won't ship to California. It is up to you to know...

What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Ladder, so it isn't stamped P.D. anywhere because it wasn't issued? Or does Raleigh P.D. not mark their weapons? Either way, a great score. You're right, what's not to love?

    Finally got my MPC 845

Forgive my ignorance, "billboard?" And I recognize the top and bottom pistols, what's the one in the middle?

What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

A 39-2 posted here by LDOGMILLER. I had one years ago and it was the best shooting auto I've ever had. I think this has as much to do with the ergonomics as anything else. You all know when you have a gun that just 'fits' perfectly, it will point like a laser for you, well this is it for me...

    Neat article on 39-2

Just got a copy of "Guns and Game" from 1964 from a new pal here locally. In it is a very nice article on the new S&W 39-2. I didn't realize the pistol had qualified in military test trials. The authors of the article really put the gun through the wringer, mud and sand baths etc. I wish I...
