I've seen posts regarding FTF and FTE, albeit less than others but those small handguns are finicky animals. That is not to say that there are not reliable pieces out there, there are. My P3AT I owned years ago ran like a top but I traded it in for a S&W 642. The Ruger LRP is FAR better than...
I've come to believe that malfunctions are inherent in these "micro" pocket .380s. Physics in not the pocket .380's friend. Regardless of maker, there always seems to be issues and they are VERY sensitive to ammo and shooting form.
Sorry, the grips on the early pistol I put on there to replace some crappy aftermarket grips that came with it when I bought it. Yes, the Victory has "GHD" after the property mark on the top strap. ALL serial number match and there is really not any wear on it to speak of. I will have to look...
Would smooth be correct? I was thinking it need the grips similar to these but has the medallions at the top. Hell of a time finding those. I assume my pre-victory is actually the model 1905. Oh, an if I find the correct grips...they are yours ;)
I just bought this Victory model from a friend for $350. It is a fair price for this model and it is in near perfect shape. It very close to the pre-war I already had. Both are 5", both are still .38 S&W. My pre-war has British proofs all over it so it was obvious where it came from. Not so...
I was thinking about ordering one. The clip on it would allow me to use it without a belt if needed. I am interested it how low it sits in the belt line. Do you have a pic of yours? I just want to see where the clip sits. How do you like it?
I carry appendix almost exclusively while off-duty. I just recently bought this used 642 as an off-duty carry piece. I love Raven Concealment Holsters and have a drawer full of them for my many pistols. I had the great guys there make me this ACR for my 642 at my local gun show. They set up...
That is what I would do. Practice with standard ammo and carry +P. I carry a 37-2 that is not rated for +P but I carry Speer +P for snubbies. I have shot some of the +P to see how it does but the rest of my shooting is done with standard ammo. You should be fine.
I wouldn't change a thing. I thing she looks great just like she is. I see a gun that is loved enough to be carried everyday of it's life. Does not look abused, just well used.
Taking the responsibility in carrying a handgun means that you made a choice to be responsible for yourself as well as those around you. It is only natural that your mindset will cause you to be more observant to the things that go on around you. I have been an LEO for 12yrs now and keeping an...
Thanks for the heads up. I looked them up and this may be exactly what I was looking for. I just got back from qualifying with it at the range so now I can officially carry it.
