IWB for S&W 442

I'm almost embarassed to admit that I occasionally IWB my J-Frame with a cheap-o Uncle Mikes holster.

But it works, and it's comfy, so what the heck.

+1 for a simple Uncle Mikes and, they have about a 20 min. back log..........well, that's about how long it takes for me to get over to a few of the shops in my area

A Sparks summer special is an excellent minimalist leather holster IWB that you might like.
I was lucky to find a very early Lou Alessi IWB for j frames which is very thin suede out leather but still has a reinforced mouth for a little ease in reholstering. It reminds me of a combination of the aforemention Sparks holster and the Bianchi "pistol pocket" IWB which has a single leather belt loop which pivots the cant any way you want.
It's a great old holster.

I don't like plastic holsters even though the material is very thin and impervious to moisture. Good leather is more comfortable to me.

I recently ordered and received the Deep Drop Bandit. It sits way down and keeps my 642 very close to my torso at almost any position on my waist. I found that other IWB holsters let the gun ride too high and away from my torso.

I was thinking about ordering one. The clip on it would allow me to use it without a belt if needed. I am interested it how low it sits in the belt line. Do you have a pic of yours? I just want to see where the clip sits. How do you like it?
