so I got the slide back from Trijicon. . . excited and couldn't wait to shoot it. Ooops. POI is about 7 inches below POA at 7 yds. Hmmm. Trijicon asked me to send it back. Details to follow.
yes - I owe pics. My bad. busy with work and all.
I did find out that it is one of the early 4506's because it has the squared trigger guard and surprise surprise, the 645 rear sights (but the front sights are dovertailed and not ramped like a 645). It has been a bear trying to fight night...
I got my hands on a 4553TSW (7 rounder) a few months back thru Armslist from a guy in AR - for only $300. He didn't like it. It is in great shape and I just changed the springs and bought some new mags.
I have not shot it much (ammo availability) - but I did put new night sights on it. I...
well not literally, but I stopped in Cabelas (Suburban STL) yesterday. I was a little bummed since I lost a Gunbroker auction for a SW 4546 and the prices on the 4506's (my second choice) were going for over $500. Figured I would browse the used (but usually overpriced guns), and leave...
thanks for the responses - the concern is figuring out why it does this. I presume in a firefight, it won't be an issue (the mags feed reliably at the range), but I am curious to know why they do this when I am dropping the mag and getting ready to empty the chamber.
Hello all, I am new to the forum, but have been lurking for some time. This is a great source of info and so I hope you can help me.
I have two 3rd gen smiths: 3953 and 5943. When I chamber a round with a full mag in the 3953 (8 rds) and then remove the magazine, sometimes, a "loose" round...
I got that $79 deal from OpticsPlanet on the meprolights. Ordered a pair for my 5943 and my 3953. Both front sights were DEAD on arrival in a new box. I am sending them back and getting trijicons for the 3953. Luckily, the old sights on the 5943 were trijicons so I am sending them back to be...
Ijust bought a 5943 on Gunbroker today. I got it for a SHTF/truck gun since I have others including a 3953 and a Glock 26. You should easily get a fair trade for the .45. I would have the LGS throw in a ton of ammo.
