He came back Saturday with more questions and I printed out the application for a letter from Mr. Jinks. He currently plans to bring it back after he gets the letter. We'll see.
I'll have to ask John Treakle what he based his opinion that it was a transition...
Thought I would share this nice revolver with the forum. A gentleman brought this in to my shop to see if I could tell him anything about it. He had just purchased it. I was excited, to say the least. It's what Supica Calls a non-registered 357 Magnum in his book. I had John Treakle, a long time...
I think glowe is correct. I don't remember all the particulars. I got a Jenks letter at the time. All were from 1903 and shipped to a distributor in KS. The case did say Smith and Wesson.
Thanks for the replies. Sorry I don't get on here more often.

Before I get a letter from Roy Jinks, I thought I'd try to get an guestimate as to ballpark value on a pre 29 I just got. I can find nothing regarding any pre 29 in this configuration. It is nickled with a 8 3/8" barrel. 4 screw of course. I do plan to get the Jinks letter regardless. It's sure...
This is the first 1902 that's come into my shop. It looks all correct and locks up tight with a very good bore. I think it's a first change with the square butt.
Hard to find S&W model 625-3 45ACP model of 1989. 3" barrel version in stainless. Excellent condition, unfortunately, no box with it. I thought I'd put it here before it goes to GB. $900 + $25 shipping. Thanks!

I have a bunch of model 10's from an estate and one revolver has grips but no screw. It is an early square butt. Anyone have one? PM me or email me at [email protected]
