i've been on the hunt for a really nice 64-8 .38 Special in the 3" barrel size. The 4 inchers abound, but my elusive 3" seems to be a unicorn. Are there any places I should check, maybe dealers that specialize in S&W revolvers that are out-of-production? thanks for any help! Doug

I understand from reading here that S&W sells a plastic insert piece of some sort to allow the 5906 mags to be used in the 6906 models, and still fit flush. Does someone have a picture of this to share with me? I like the idea very much. thanks! Doug
