When I first got my 40 shield my shots were high and left. A lot of practice helped me get used to the smaller grip and stiff trigger but I still wasn't satisfied.
Having the Apex Shield Carry Kit installed only lowered it to ~5.5#, but a very smooth pull. This made an immediate difference and...
Santa made this a very merry Christmas and brought a Shield in .40!!
I hope everyone else is having a good day with friends and family.
Merry Christmas!
Congrats! I've been tempted to get one. I know once I get a shield the 45c would probably start collecting dust. The 45c seems to have a big appeal to me though. I'm not quite sure what it is.
Some Pics of range results for the day. I love the multicolor splash targets.
The M&P40 PRO:
The Sig 226:
And sadly I'm becoming worse with the S&W 1911:
It sounds about $10 cheaper than my new full size m&p 45 that has the regular sights.
I would have jumped on that price with the night sights.
Congrats on the new piece!
With approx 500 rounds through my new M&P .45 I've had my first misfire ever.
I was shooting Winchester FMJ ammo from Walmart. I heard the dreadful click, but there was no BANG!
It looks to me like the dent in the primer is a little off center, I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. I...
Some of the M&P rifle specs only list the 5.56 rounds.
I could be mistaken but I though .223 can be a higher pressure? Could that pressure difference between .223 and 5.56 be significant enough of a difference to cause this type of damage?
Thanks for the advice. I might cancel my deposit and go that route for the .40 pro if they can't get it by October.
I did get the FS .45 at a local store and love it. From most of the reviews on the M&P triggers I was expecting to order an Apex in the near future, but the stock one feels...
So it might take awhile for the local shop to actually get the 40 Pro. I'll still be waiting for them to find one, but in the mean time I picked up a M&P 45. I can't wait for it to stop raining to try it out :)
I don't have one yet, I just put a down payment for a local store to order one through their distributors. I didn't think there was much of a difference other than sites, trigger and barrel length(if ordering the 5").
I finally made a down payment at the local store to try to have an M&P40PRO 5" ordered :)
They have no idea how long it might take their distributors to actually get one. I'm not normally this patient haha :o
