John is a protege of Lou's and his ankle holster is spot on Lou's design.
I carried a Model 60 in an Alessi for 28 years and was fortunate to buy a new Alessi ankle rig for my 340PD prior to Lou's passing. Still use my Alessi gun belt daily and it's almost 40!
John's work looks great!
Carried a Model 60 in an Alessi ankle rig for 28 years. Now I carry the M&P 340PD in another Alessi ankle rig. Galco "Cop Glove" on opposite ankle with 2 speed strips.
I like this fanny pack. I had previously sworn them off for all of the previously cited reasons. But this is small and I putt my keys or small camera in the netted front and it doesn't look like a gun pack.
I carry my Glock 27 plus an xtra mag. Works in the heat!
I'm shooting .38 135 gr Speers with no problems. Great round and have tried the .357 to satisfy my curiosity. I'll stay with the .38 for a much more manageable 2nd shot.
Had a set of these on a J frame YEARS ago. Carried them for a month and dumped them. Agree about enough rubber for a tire.
"Bodyguard" concept, but didn't last very long.
Funny how time seems to temper the reactions of the Miami shootout and protocol changes.
You got to remember that we went through many changes in ammunition during the 70's-80's and there were real questions about what was working and what wasn't.
Combine this with the impossibly strict...
For total comfort, you're going to sacrifice concealability. I'm using the Crimson Trace LG-405 and it's excellent. The backstap fill is kind to your hands on recoil, the laser sight is a wonderful benefit and the firearm disappears in your pocket with a pocket holster.
I strongly recommend it.
