Here's a little secret... go look up pics of the Star (or Interarms) FIRESTAR, and the FIRESTAR PLUS. You will see where they 'got' the idea for the CSX.

The .45 slide will likely fit onto the 4013 single stack frame... but the .45 magazine will not go into the .40 frame.

My first .45 was a S&W 645, my second .45 was a Sig P220. From there, I've owned mostly 1911s... 3", 3.5", 4", 4.25", and 5" lengths... in .45acp, 10mm, .38super, 9mm, 9x23win, .40S&W, .357Sig, and .400Corbon. Over the years I've had... 35 Colts, 28 Springfields, 19 Kimbers, 9 Detonics, 4 Dan...

In its current state (if something IS broken), you might as well sacrifice the slide release... cut the 'lever' portion off, and drive the 'axle/pin' portion out with a punch. Yes, pics of the muzzle might help.

If the bolt/screw is STAINLESS, I would try a similar fastener in a GRADE 5 Black Oxide (and opt for slightly shorter, rather than longer, if that is possible). I think some pics may help us with more options/ideas.

3" Sub-compact, PRO Series, usually all-black (some had polished slide flats), .45 or 9mm. Older 4.25" Compact ES, 'CCO' style with shorter 'officers' frame, usually TWO-Tone (might be some all-black ones?), .45 only. Older 4.25" SC model, 'commander' sized, mostly all-black... maybe a few...

Home-made 3 inchers... 629-2 Mountain Gun, 629-4 Slab-sided .44, 65-5 Carry Comp.

I made my own F-comp/K-comp out of a 65-5. Ported it (comp style with expansion chamber and counter-boring forward of the port/chamber), then flat-faced the muzzle. Front sight started as a Novak/1911 blank... shortened, contoured, serrated it, then just blackened... no paint. Complete...

2 inch, no. 3 inch, yeah... sure.

These are VZ grips with checkered sides, which I prefer to their non-checkered options. They 'fit' my hands better than most (I am a LEFTY, so I like the right-side's top-edge for my left thumb), but other options are better for concealed carry. I don't usually like sticky/mushy rubber grips...
