    Model 36 date?

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in awhile but someone I know is curious to know what vintage his 36 is and I figured what better place to find out. The serial number is 6JXXX. It has a 3" barrel which is pinned, but he states that it is marked as a MOD 36, with no "dash" number. Any help...

    Convict labor

So, we need to deal with imports by using convict labor to make affordable American products? How does that help? Are we going to turn over the convicts to business to take care of? I don't think business wants to pick up the $30,000 to $50,000 a year that we pay to keep these people...

    Convict labor

Ok, I get it. If the people want to replace FF's with prisoners well I guess that's that. I've never worked a wildland fire except some large brush fires in my jurisdiction so I don't know all the "ins and outs" of it, but I think there are some differences between strucural firefighting and...

    Convict labor

I just read about some politician wants to replace firefighters with prisoners. Good luck with that, Einstein. Also, prisoners picking up trash on the side of the road is one thing but using prisoners for the profit of a private business is something else.

    38/44 question

Is it really a bad thing if it's reamed for 357? I would think it would handle it, but what do I know?

    Moisin nagant 762.54

I shot a carbine version a couple of years ago. Trigger pull was, oh I don't know, light? It seemed like I was just barely putting any pressure on it and BAM! Very large flash and felt stouter than my Springfield. Hope this helps.

    Chantix--Anyone Used it

I tried it about 6 years ago, but stopped after I passed out at work. We were hoisting washed hose up the drying tower and I started to go down but was caught in time. I would've bounced my skull into the brick wall I was standing next to if I hadn't been caught. I had been taking it for...

what was the wierdest yuckkiest food your mom made you eat when you were a kid?

We called it SOS in my house (**** on a shingle). Browned hamburger, creamed like chipped beef, served on a piece of toast. Ughh! Ate it alot during lean times. The only meal mom made I hated.

Two M&P's at Niles OH. show today.

Walking around the show, I spotted a prewar M&P so I stop to check it out. Condition is about 60% with a couple of freckles. 4" with Victory stocks. Check the butt, serial number is 313###. No price. About two feet down the table is another 4" prewar. Condition is about 60% also, but with...

Ever stake out a buy back line?

Whenever I hear of a gun buy back event, I think of all the potential "good ones" going to the smelter and wonder how feasible (or prudent or legal) it would be go to one and stake out the line and rescue some treasures. Anyone ever think the same thing or have actually done it?

Going to the Niles Ohio show today.

I'm usually disappointed at this show but going anyway. I'm not going to buy any guns unless I see something I want for real cheap (like I said, I'm not buying anything). Who knows, maybe I'll stumble across a once in a lifetime deal that I can't pass up. Would like to find some diamond Magnas...
