    New Shield 9mm owner

I've owned two and sold them both because I needed to at the time. I'm currently rocking an M&Pc in the cooler weather, but I'll be grabbing another Shield when the warmer weather rolls around. It is remarkably accurate for its size, and handles recoil like its bigger brothers.

What's the difference between 380 ACP and 380 Auto...

A buddy of mine shot .380 out of my Sig P239 9mm once not paying attention and loading the wrong ammunition into the magazine. He was new to guns at the time. The Sig fed it like a champ, thankfully.

    APEX Trigger Question

The grit is the result of the striker block being engaged. The factory striker block has a steep angle to it. The Apex striker block is much more smoothed out which eliminates the grit you are talking about. The FSS trigger kit will cause the trigger to break earlier. There is still some take...

    M&P9c FDE

Looks sharp. I wouldn't mind owning an FDE compact. Mine is a mid to late 2013 production, and I really like the trigger break and reset on it. I don't even think I'm in a hurry to install Apex in it at all whereas it seemed like a necessity with the Pro I bought back in 2012. If I work up...

M&P9 - Apex, Warren Tactical in Central TX SOLD

I have an April 2012 M&P9 with estimated round count of maybe 1000 but likely far less (I don't keep track of these things). Carried some, mostly a nightstand piece. Comes with two factory 17 round magazines, Warren Tactical sights (plain rear, tritium front), Apex RAM installed by me, current...

    1972 vintage 19-3, 4" blued

My God, that is beautiful. I just bought a beat to hell 6" 19-3 with some pitting on the outside and excess wear in some spots. Everything else was solid. Put some rounds through it today, and it was spot on. I bought it as a shooter so I wasn't overly concerned about the finish. I'll still...

    Bodyguard 380/M&P bodyguard 380 question

The new M&P Bodyguard is essentially the same pistol. It is double action so that hasn't changed. The biggest changes to design were the removal of the laser, a stainless steel barrel instead of that MIM abortion found on the standard BG .380, a new rollmark along with the M&P slide serrations...

Late Serial # 380 Bodyguard.. Do they still have problems?

I bought my Bodyguard .380 last January. No problems in about 100 rounds. I never warmed to the MIM barrel so I ended up selling it. I am excited about the new M&P Bodyguard .380 that just announced. Essentially the same pistol but without a laser, it has a stainless steel barrel, and it will...

Picked up a 686 no dash today - my first!

Well, you guys are making me feel a lot better about this deal. I'm fighting the urge to go back and see if the other one is still on the shelf. It would probably look good in some Hogues...

Picked up a 686 no dash today - my first!

See, that would have been closer to what I would have preferred to pay. In any case, I have no regrets. It is a nice revolver to be sure. I don't know how many rounds have been through it is the only thing. Judging from the trigger, you would think it was well broken in. I have read that the...

Picked up a 686 no dash today - my first!

I'll admit I didn't do any research on the going rate before buying. I had seen a couple on the shelf earlier this week. I popped in day before yesterday and saw there were three. Yesterday, they were back to two. I bought the better of the two. The one I left on the shelf was in about the same...

Sorry, Glock.... But she went M&P....

Love my M&Pc. It's hard to believe how good the ergonomics are on the M&P pistol line.

Picked up a 686 no dash today - my first!

Today, I came home with a new-to-me Smith & Wesson 686 no dash 4" model with factory wood grips. I probably paid too much at $486 out the door, but most I have seen in about the same condition on TexasGunTrader are listed for around the same price. Prices only go up from what I have seen from. I...
