Purchase Price of your M&P Shield

From a Police Supply Store in Phila I got a 9mm. It was marked at 319.95 but they charged a $25.00 background check fee. I got an extra mag for $31.95. Shouldn't have paid that for the mag but I wanted an extra. I was out the door at $405.05 for the gun w two mags, the extra mag, the fee and...

    Dissapointed with my Shield

Good luck with it. I have a few hundred rounds through mine without a glitch. +P+ 124 grain Hydrashoks were some of the rounds I shot even though they are not advised. I did not clean it before it was shot the first time and did clean and lube it before I qualified with it. It shoots sweet...

    629-2 Mountain Revolver?

I have a 629 MG that I bought new around 1991. It came with Pachs and I bought Hogues for it that day. I'd have to look to see what - number it is.

    Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!!!

I like mine a lot. Wish the mags were cheaper. Shot fine out of the box. No problem making good hits at 25 yards. Nicer trigger than the 45C M&P that I held the same day. That one may be my next purchase, especially if they improve the trigger on that.

    Winchester Q4369 .40 S&W

I know the FBI used Q4170 .45 ball for practice. I have shot some of the same stuff. Never a problem.

    The Olde Guy Wins

I love the model 10, Most of them I purchased used at good prices. A pencil barrel was given to me. My favorite is one that I got a few years ago that has a few minor marks on it but otherwise very nice bluing. I put Hogue Grips on it because I like the feel. Love shooting it. Keep...

    Police trade-in 15s and 681s at SOSS

Prisons possibly. Seems that the state prisons in PA still have revolvers.

    Refinish questions

The price was on the Smith and Wesson site, I think there were a few choices. I think that if you get it done the factory is the way to go. Keep the receipt as proof that Smith and wesson did the work. Others will tell you that it takes value away from the gun. The price paid for the gun...

    First Generation Mountain Gun?

I have one like pictured above. Cool gun. Don't shoot it much though.

    help me decide

This is the one with wooden grips? If so I think they look cool. Keep it for awhile and shoot it. You can always sell it later if you want.

    Shield 9mm FTE

I have about 250 through mine, American Eagle 124 Grain Ball and +P+ 124 Grain Hydrashok. Have not had a hicup. Didn't clean it before shooting it. Wanted to see how it would do. Shot it out to 25 yards. Center mass hits were easy. It will be much easier to qualify with than with my 642...

Nothing special-but it's my new to me 64-4 but I'm happy

I think you did good at $375.00. They aren't making em like this anymore and the short barrel is desirable. I have one that I inherited from a friend that died too young. It was hard to get the cylinder to open and is at the smith now. Looking forward to shooting it when it gets back.

new shield and 3rd gen price

I did want a 3913 or similar metal single stack 9mm. I have the Shield and don't want one as much. I do think the all metal guns are great though. I wish I never got rid of a few that I had years ago. One a 6906 and a Smaller .45 single stack with a decocker. I don't think the Shield will...
