Put about 175 rounds of the (new to me) CCI Tactical ammo through my 15-22. Wow. Great stuff. Feels really nice and smooth when loading it in the magazines (the regular CCI is tight and tends to stove pipe in my mags). Only 1 primer failure (which worked on attempt #2) and I shot about 75...
My teenage son and I went out to the NRA range tonight and put a hard 300 rounds through the M&P15-22. I did 2 mags of rapid fire in the mix of it all, in total we did 12 mags in about 20 minutes (man that barrel was hot). Fed bulk pack (550 from wallyworld) and 2 new clips I had picked up from...
The FTfire had a good clean strike indention and went off without a problem when rotated and struck again. I've had the big black gob of goo block the firing pin before and it results in no bang, but usually there's no strike mark on the cartridge.
Thanks for the input,

Well 300 rounds tonight with one fail to feed (1st round might have been a magazine not fully inserted i.e. operator error) and one fail to fire - bad primer IMHO. Not too bad with the cleaning - I think the federal bulk pack isn't too dirty compared to some other brands I've used. I'm sure I...
I'm proud to report that I love this scope now. I finally got it forward enough so that the eye relief is correct at the mild magnification I'm using at the indoor range. But most importantly, 2 shots with the laser on, and I moved the center of the scope to the laser and it stayed there for 298...
I haven't checked it out on the range yet (they were packed on new years eve day and I didn't feel like waiting for 2 hours), but when I went to check out the scope I found 2 of the ring screws weren't even hand tight! Now that I think about it, the laser seemed to jump in an arc pattern between...
Didn't mean to come across mean. I do realize it would change with the target at different distances. That is especially noticeable since my laser is mounted on the left. As I go from 50-100 feet the grouping from the laser is off by 3 inches to the right, but with the scope I should only see...
Happy new year to you as well. My only other 22LR experience is with my 22 pistol that's over 20 years old. I've cleaned it everytime out. I know I've put near 10,000 rounds through it (I used to keep a log for years and that showed over 5,000). I've never had issues with cleaning it everytime...
Yes. So I don't have the laser dead center in the scope, and right after the shot, the laser might jump to 5 oclock from 6 oclock, and then on the next shot it might jump somewhere in between. I use the laser as a point of aim and my shots are dead on so it's not the one moving. Target is close...
I've got both a laser and the BARSKA 3-9x42 IR Contour Riflescope and notice the laser bounces around within the scope picture from shot to shot. The laser is tight, so I know it's the scope. Any thoughts about what to check/tighten?
Thanks,

I've been doing that too. Just only shooting about 200-250 rounds per outing. Was wondering if I really needed to clean it that often. I kinda wished it was dirtier since I go to all that trouble to break everything down. Maybe I'll try 500 rounds next time and see how it does. I only...
I clean my M&P15-22 after every trip to the range and have gotten as high as 275 rounds in one trip, and was wondering how many rounds others have found they can put through before "needing" to clean their rifle.
