Love revolvers, but carry a semi

For many years my issue weapon in the military was a S@W .38 revolver in a sholder holster - never a hiccup. Then they decided a Berretta 9mm auto was better - over those years I saw "stove-pipes," FTF and FTE. Now that I'm retired I usually carry a Kahr PM9 in my pocket. So far no...

    The Lone Ranger

Lone Ranger A work-mate and his wife saw a pre-release last night in Salt Lake City and told me this morning that it was good. Said Depp made an excellant Tonto. My wife and I will see it with my sibblings in a few weeks. The group of us get together every Friday night for some kind of activity.

All you guys who pocket carry...

Mostly I wear old-fashioned "overalls" - nice deep pockets. My PM9 in a Remora disappears. This also works with my looser slacks, but I have a IWB holster for the PM9 for my tighter - small pocket slacks.

    Snake encounter

Saw you were from Reno, but seen Spanish Moss in the pic and then noticed you'd put NC under the pic

    Snake encounter

I came across a cottonmouth while weed-eating in KY - the weed eater easily took off his head.

    A veteran's cap and a Walmartian...

I also like the term "Walmartian" PALADIN85020 - I was drafted during Vietnam - but got side tracked to Korea. I ended up staying in the Army for 35 years and now wear a "US ARMY RETIRED" hate nearly ever where I go - on the back I have my name and rank along with the 101st's "Screaming Eagle"...

I must say, I'm not digging my Old Faithful IWB

Supposedly the extra thick kydex is there to help keep its shape to re-holster. Like "S&WForty," I also find that the clips are a bit difficult to get over the belt & pants - once there it stays put.

Anyone still use a shoulder holster?

For about 18 years I carried my issue S&W 38 in a snap-in holster under my left armpit as an Army Aviator. When they went to the Beritta used the holister on my emergency vest - never felt as comfortable as the ol' .38

I must say, I'm not digging my Old Faithful IWB

I wear my Old Faithful IWB at about 04:30 - it wears more comfortably aft of the 3 o'clock position for me anyway - I didn't like it at 3-4 - but it turned out okay a bit futher aft.

Talk to me about Frog Lube!

Fairly new to personal weapons (on the range 3 to 4 times a year in the military), but didn't haveany personal weapons until I retired. Therefore I didn't load up on other cleaning products. A fellow I worked with in the last couple years lauded the value of Frog-Lube - so that is what I got...

I'd like to nominate my wife for Wife of the Year.

Mywife followed me all over she world for the better part of 46 years now. You bore us children in Utah, Virgina, Oklahoma, Germany & Texas. Her hardest year was when I left her in Colorado with four teenagers, and went off to Korea. My year went fast - Was a Cubmaster that year in Seoul...
