    Wanna be pinto 57

Just curious, did the factory ever produce reverse Pinto's? e.g. Nickle frame and blued cylinder and barrel.

Help with oddball 4 screw snubby

In addition to a possible barrel replacement I believe the revolver was also refinished in standard blue hence the R-S marking.

    Source for 4” barrel

Source for 4" barrel You might try Jack First in Rapid City South Dakota.

    New to me 19-4, 6"

mx5racer, If I recall the cylinder/yoke screw should have a short length of bare shank below the threads. It can thus be carefully and gently dressed with a fine file until the screw can be fully tightened without binding the yoke.

    J Frame Combat Trigger?

tndrfttom' I believe that the 31-1, the later production 34 and the 36-1 all had the smooth combat triggers from the factory. There may have been others and I'm sure folks on here with more expertise than I will be along to fill out the list. Cheers.

    Just spied a S&W 60-4 .38 spl 3 inch

Deaf, I have one that I purchased about 5 or 6 years ago for $650. The Uncle Mikes came from the factory according to the Standard Catalogue. Anyway, mine has the smoothest single and double action of any Smith that I have owned and it is a pleasure to shoot. I think in todays market, at least...

    Model 547

I guess it depends on what you're going to use it for. The three inch round butt would seem to be a little easier to carry concealed.

    Model 547

For what it's worth I sold two in 2017, both pristine, in original boxes numbered to the guns with all the goodies. The three inch round butt went for $1600 and the four inch square butt for $1800. A bit unusual because of the few that I've seen sell before and after the three inch RB versions...

    SERIAL Number AYR

It appears to be 1988 according to SCofS&W 4th edition.

Value and year of this 25-5

I agree with MuleyGil as I have a 6" 25-5 that was shipped in September 1985 with an alphabet prefix and non-pinned barrel and it has tight throats.

    It's hip to be square

Don't have any small square butts right now; but I like the tip of the hat to Huey Lewis

Put a nice one in the truck today.

Looks to be a very nice Combat Masterpiece from 1977. $340 is a smokin deal around here. I'd say you did very well.

    Help ID 5 screw

Sounds like a K-38 Combat Masterpiece ("Pre-Model 15), 1951 per the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. Pictures would help.
