mx5racer, If I recall the cylinder/yoke screw should have a short length of bare shank below the threads. It can thus be carefully and gently dressed with a fine file until the screw can be fully tightened without binding the yoke.

I believe that the 31-1, the later production 34 and the 36-1 all had the smooth combat triggers from the factory. There may have been others and I'm sure folks on here with more expertise than I will be along to fill out the list. Cheers.

I have one that I purchased about 5 or 6 years ago for $650. The Uncle Mikes came from the factory according to the Standard Catalogue. Anyway, mine has the smoothest single and double action of any Smith that I have owned and it is a pleasure to shoot. I think in todays market, at least...
For what it's worth I sold two in 2017, both pristine, in original boxes numbered to the guns with all the goodies. The three inch round butt went for $1600 and the four inch square butt for $1800. A bit unusual because of the few that I've seen sell before and after the three inch RB versions...
