My first pistol. (S&W Sigma 9mm)

Tough 16th Yes! You will just have to get leather fingers. Rest assured that your mag spring is good.

    Stovepiping problems.

Limp wristing? Well, FTE has occurred with my boy, who is 10 years old, but not with me. I took my 9VE and cleaned it well and I have not experienced this since. Cleaning is probably the key....and these pistols are easy to clean.

Uh-ooh Is S&W replacing the sigma? look!

Right now, after looking at the S&W website and checking the SD9/40 links, I would stick with the Sigma. Going through the 360 degree animation, the pistol 'looks' like the same construction with added items. With the SD having a probable >$400.00 price tag (based on the $530.00 MSRP), I am...

Is this as cheap as it gets?

I got the MFS 2000 ammo, as well. Seems to work fine for me.

Will the SD series replace the Sigma?

Sigma replacement? Kind of hard to tell until they come out and people start firing off ammo through them...

Uh-ooh Is S&W replacing the sigma? look!

Interesting. I will bet it is as most have said...A Sigma with better sights, serious looking serrations, interchanging grips, and black-only finish. Depending on the price and the mechanics, I think it looks good.

    My J&G Sales M64-6

Getting bit by the bug... I have been thinking of revolvers, for the home, and just got my April/May 2010 J&G Sales flyer. I thought that I would check the forum and see what people thought of these mod 64s. Rickkster, you would have to put an absolutely beautiful image of your '64 for me to...

    Rookie Cleaning question - SW9ve

Cleaning As a matter of fact, ask Blastfact for the YouTube links where he shows you the breakdown of the 9VE. This is a little PR for him, as I downloaded all of them and they were a great resource. I was able to take mine down, clean, lube, and reassemble the first time with absolutely no...

    My SW9VE Review

taking things apart Well, that is how I have been doing it so far. I had not done this yet. These forums have been my sources for a lot of info like this...

    My SW9VE Review

gunsmithing WildCard ZX6R, I find this facinating. I would like to operate a gunsmithing shop when I retire (light IS at the end of the tunnel) and would like to know more concerning this. Any good leads?

    My SW9VE Review

a natural It is interesting to read all of the posts that feel that Ruger makes a great product, but that the P95 just felt huge in the hand. I felt the same way, although I almost bought one. I went for the 9VE because it felt so great in the hand. I said this on another thread, but it bears...

    Now I got it! sigma

MOC (minute of can) When my sons and I go out to grandpa's 'ranch' and shoot, we place cans on top of each other and try to shoot one off of the top of the other. The point is that we can tell pretty much how close we are. Our practice is at 15 and 25 yds. Except for the odd winger, we can hit...

    Sigma Jam Problems

To much lube It is easy to get too much on the interior workings. I put in too much one time (over excited I guess), and noticed that it was 'escaping' out the side and leaving a damp spot on the side of the pistol. I took it apart and used compressed air to clean off the excess. Whether the...
