Shortage of .22 LR, Next best thing to CCI?

I've had an M&P22 and an M&P 15-22 for about a year now, and have shot mostly Remington during that time because it's what I could find. I can't argue that it seems dirty (but I don't have too much to compare it to), but I've had virtually no problems with hundreds of rounds of Thunderbolt...

    New member

Welcome, Dan! I'm pretty new to all this myself, got my 15-22 almost a year ago. I've never had any issues with jams, occassionally a FTF but pretty rare - mostly American Eagle in my case. Others have said that they've seen issues with jams based on how the mag is loaded - the rounds need to...

    Rockwell Arms - 15-22 MOE FDE $529 + 20% off

Just got an email that Rockwell Arms (rockwellarms.com) is having a 20% off sale on everything in stock until the 18th. I looked and they have 1 15-22 MOE in FDE for $529.99, with the 20% off from that it's a good deal. *You have to enter the code '20' at checkout to get the discount.* I have...

    What's the skinny on M&P 15-22?

I've had my 15-22 for about 8 months now, and have used Remington ammo mostly - because that was what I could get. Have had little to no issues with Remington, have had more trouble with American Eagle w/fail to fire, but that was a smaller sample size (about 400 rounds). I'm not saying that...

New to forum & soon to be 15-22 owner

Congrats on the 15-22, and getting such a good deal! I was at the range Saturday, and got reminded again just how much I like mine, and how much fun it is to shoot. Enjoy!

    Full size M&P9

The second link you posted is the p/n 209301, which is the same one I got in June. 17-round mags, no safety, and does not have the heavy trigger that is required in MA or CT, I forget which. In other words, if you're looking for a FS 9, it's the one to buy. That's a good price, too. Dan

    sub sonic in a M&P 22

I've used Remington SubSonics in my M&P 22 and 15-22 without any problems. I'd stay away from the really slow stuff, 740fps and the like. Dan

M&P 9mm gap between slide and frame??

My FS9 has a noticeable gap... I'm a new gun owner, but have put about 300 rounds through it with zero issues. Very happy with my M&P. Looking forward to some range time this weekend!

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE RANGE WITH YOU?

Seems like most of what I bring to the range has been covered, but I'll go ahead and list it anyway: Rifle Pistols Ammo Holster and belt Staple gun and staples Note pad & pen Hearing protection - plugs and muffs Safety glasses (typically only use indoors) Band-aids Wipes (due to loading rimfire...

    Why an M&P?

I don't know Ohio law, but if I had to use a pistol in self defense and it ended up in a police evidence room, my other guns would probably be the last thing I was worried about at that point. Getting a good attorney would be the priority.

    Picked up my 15-22 yesterday

My nephew has a Sig 522, and it's a nice rifle. It's definitely heavier, with a nice trigger. If I had to choose between it and my 15-22MOE, I'd still take the 15-22. I like the lightweight feel of the 15-22, the looks, and the fact that it has the rails.

    Why an M&P?

New to shooting, the friend who introduced us took us to a range where we rented multiple pistols. Of the 6 or so that we shot, the Springfield XDM and M&P were the two that fit my hand the best, and I had the best (consistent) groups with. My wife has small hands, so the M&P is the one that...

    M&P FS9mm $444.95

Just wanted to pass on, in case anyone is looking for an FS M&P9... Rockwell Arms is having a sale, $444.95. It's the 209301, 17 rnd, no safety.... looks like they have 8 in stock. I'm not affiliated with them, and haven't done business with them. Just looks like a good deal.

M&P - Why so many variations?

In some cases, the difference is small, like different sights. I was comparing two different models of FS, they seemed identical until I realized they had different sights. I agree that it's probably mostly driven by different agencies, but state regs (MA, CA, etc.) drive different models as well.
