Checkmate MyLastRook. :D:D
S&W has produced and sold special +1 mags for government/LEO contracts for the Sigma 40VE. I have several of them from S&W so marked with a contract number on them for the my 40VE AF pistol. Google it.
They are available here and elsewhere: 13600 - 40F Sigma...
I used my 9VE for my CCW class qualification without any problems. The instructor, a very good shot with a pistol, tried my Sigma. It stovepiped on him the first round. After clearing the jam, I recommeded he tighten his grip a little. He fired the other 14 rounds from it without a catch...
9mm = laser straight holes to target out to 50 yards with a Mozambique drill to insure target is neutralized
.45 ACP = lob the round onto the target beyond a 20 foot distance but blow a baseball size hole in the target when you do hit. Second shot may, but is not likely to, be needed with a...
Besides, the snake shot is not meant to cycle the slide like a solid projectile does. Not sure why you would be using snake shot in a semi-auto pistol anyway. They work great in revolvers though.
Yes it is. The Melonite finish protects the slide and eliminates the reflectivity of the stainless steel slide. I prefer the AF for serious social work. For range work, the matte stainless slide works oh so fine.
I have a matte stainless 9mm and the Allied Force 40. I like both of them but carry the AF 40 with the black slide. Bling is nice for the range but can get you killed on the streets.
I'd go for one..........
They did in the first generation guns. Google SW357VE. As to the Sigma in .45 ACP, I'd be all over it. I have the 9 and 40VE. Why not round out the family with a .45 ACP?
Hey S&W. Are you listening?
Can you hear us now? :D:D:D
A question. Has anyone tried filing down the factory front sight to match the Hi-Viz sight height? You could then paint it red or whatever color you want. Just a thought now that I know the proper sight height. :p
:D:D:D
I'll chime in here since I own both. The .40 S&W has a lot going for it; a heavier bullet than the 9mm can throw and more velocity and flatter trajectory than the .45 can achieve. It penetrates windshield glass and vehicle doors better than either the 9mm or .45. You get 14 or 15 rounds in...
You can get LEO/government mags that take 1 extra round. :D:D I had 3 until a case head seperation blew the base plate off of one of them. Now I has 2 and several standard hi-cap mags for my SW40VE.
