    SW1911 model # help

    I've had this smith for a while and was asked a question about the model# I was told It would be a number like 1088282;108296 etc. Only thing I can find on the gun is the serial which is JRD91XX. I don't have the box and I was told it would be on it so no luck their. Here is a pic.

    Today I decided to visit Gander Mountain (the highest place to buy firearms) and I asked the guy at the counter if they ever get used prelock Smiths in. He said he had a 581 in the back so I had to see it. The guy brings it out and I see the 399.99 price tag and the first words out of my mouth...

    My M58 I picked it up at a local Pawn shop for 525.00. I just found out it was a N.C. HWY Patrol gun in 1966 only 120 shipped. Since I have found a case for her for 60.00 bucks.

    Model 27-2 The .357 Magnum .357 Magnum Blued, N Frame revolver, 5" barrel, square butt, in wooden presentation case with all tools and paperwork. Box and interior flocking are in excellent condition...especially the interior flocking. I rarely see any of this vintage in this great shape. Pinned...
