52-2 help with light primer strikes

I finally broke down and outbid people for a 52-2 on Gunbroker. The pistol shoots so smoothly I cannot believe that's a stock trigger. Wow. Here is my problem, if you have any suggestions: I get 1 or 2 light primer strikes per 10 rounds, and almost always on the first round from the mag (that...

    Help with 10-6 year made?

I'm fostering a 10-6 that was an old service revolver for a LEO. Couldn't resist it at LGS...shot it yesterday and it's very good. Needs some love with spot rust, etc. Any idea what year...serial number on butt C915xxx. Appreciate the help! bob

    Victory safety

It's interesting that you'd have that problem. Being a LH and holding the Victory, it seems impossible to have my hand high enough to engage the safety without getting hit by the slide during the pistol's cycling. But it sounds like it happens. I bet a bigger set of grips would alleviate...

    S&W 22 Victory Red Dot Optic ?

I have that Bushnell on mine and it's a perfect setup. Small MOA dot which is good for .22 target shooting. I highly recommend, esp for the price!

What is the PD in "N.P.D.?"

As I mentioned earlier, it's safe to assume it's Newark (NJ) PD. And he vouched their SW's said NPD on them. Which makes it badass because anything and anyone that survives the streets of Newark is badass.

    Model 41 Question

Stay away. That's too much money for a beat up and hacked up pistol. There's a LGS by my house that has several High Standards and I think they just dreamt up prices for them, they ask $700 for a $300 gun and such. This guy is probably asking same. It seems like used 41's in good shape can...

Shhh..Unconventional front sight mounting on 617

Felt pretty good after swapping out front sight on my 617.... punch the pin out; remove front sight and replace with new one; use cool new drill bit with Dremel and drill hole slowly from both sides (as these front sights aren't pre-drilled); put pin back and pewpew on my way. So I wanted to...

    Model 41 Help

I have a $100 bill with your name on it, Steeler man, take it or leave it. They're right, with all that you're good for $1000 at least. On gunbroker there are ones not as complete as that going in the 900's. I paid 900 for a 1986 long barrel 41. Good luck.

    Model 41 Help

Yep he's right, 5.5 " didn't come out till 1963. Model 41 started in 1957, so that 1955 date isn't correct. This is the applicable range of serial numbers, so you can guesstimate what yr yours is. 295XX_______ 1960 1120XX______ 1969 And yeah, you didn't explain what you need help with...

    Model 41- Ammo

I doubt any shooters here have two Model 41's and have tested HV exclusively in one and SV in the other. I have a newly purchased 1986 Model 41. I'm gonna stick with SV. There's no upside to me shooting HV esp when good SV is readily available nowadays and $.07-.075 a round. I would imagine...
