I'm looking for a Red Dot for my S&W 22 Victor pistol. I've looked at the Bushnell TRS-25 and the TruGlo 8030DB. I'd like to hear from other members that have Red Dots. What do you have and why ? Thanks, Jim

I just put a Bushnell TRS-25 on my Sw22 Victory. The reason I went with the Bushnell is because someone loaned it to me to see if I want to pursue a red dot at all, no other reason. I've put a few hundred rounds down range with the open sights but none with the red dot, yet. I've zeroed in on many dandy lions in my yard with the red dot, and one thing I noticed, I've become more proficient bringing my piece up to eye level and on target, which I feel will help with my "point and shoot" ability. I'm anxious to get it out, hopefully next week, and give it a work out. I am not a proponent of optics on handguns, but for free I'll give it a try on my Victory. Dave

I have a similar sight on the Clark model 41 barrel, but I shoot the irons on the 7 3/8 barrel better. That said I'm awaiting a Fastfire III to try on the Victory. A pity the Eotech XPS2-0 was too heavy, 'cause the sight picture was awesome. I hope the Burris is as sharp.

There is a fairly new Mirco Red dot on the market that has a reticle like the Eotech circle / dot, it's made by Holosun. It's about the same size as an Aimpoint H / T series and uses buttons instead of a dial for reticle brightness. I don't have one so I can't speak on quality, but a lot of reviewers are raving about them.

Optics Planet and Amazon carry them if you wanted to take a peak.

For OP; I'm using a TRS-25 on a Buckmark and it's been great. Have another one in the box waiting for a SW22 threaded once they hit the street in numbers.

I've got the Bushnell TRS-25 on my Victory but I haven't shot it much yet. I have used TRS-25s on other guns and they are very good and inexpensive.

I use a Burris fast fire III. I mostly use it for speed steel and knock down comps. The 3moa dot works great for fast target acquisition. Also it is a very fair price.

Red dot on Victory

I have a browning red dot on my Victory . It works very well. It is a very accurate and fun combination.

I've used the Truglo TGB8030DB on my S&W model 22A for years and thousands of rounds without any trouble. It's easy to mount and maintain and improves my accuracy with my old eyes. The green or red dot option helps under differing lighting conditions.

I have that Bushnell on mine and it's a perfect setup. Small MOA dot which is good for .22 target shooting. I highly recommend, esp for the price!

I have a SigSauer Romeo3 (3moa) on my SW Victory it adds almost no noticable weight and is great for quick target acquisition great single plane focusing especially for older eyes.
