    Hi from Virginia

Hey all, I'm a fed working for the DODIG, and I'm fostering a renewed love to these classic revolvers. I bought a model 10 that I refinished and cleaned up, and one day I'll own my dream 27 in perfect condition :D My current dilemma is deciding whether I want to buy a 642 or a 637 to add to...

Floating firing pin side-to-side play on model 10, enough to be concerned?

Attached are some pictures of what I the back side of the bushing (I think). What do you think? It seems like a groove has been worn need the top, but Im not sure how normal or abnormal this is. The front side in the breechface looks fine, with no discernible peening.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification. Would the correct term simply be "hammer mounted" firing pin then?

Help finding grips that actually fit?

Done! You are correct about Ebay, it has been fruitless searching there, and most everywhere else on the internet I've scoured.

Help finding grips that actually fit?

thank you all so much for the info and schooling me on grips for this older model 10! I'll try my luck at looking for vintage grips. I had no idea they were fitted by hand, but that would certainly explain why this newer grip is an imperfect fit.
