You're right, even the footsteps, match strikes, just about everything is dubbed in--I forgot that includes "gunfire." Still, the sound of Harry's .44 going off is still one of the coolest sound effects for the genre.

As much as I love the 29s used in the Dirty Harry movies what I REALLY love is the sound of the blanks used in Harry's gun. There were a couple of John Wayne movies where the blanks sounded the same (Cahill, US Marshal) but the Dirty Harry series was "it" for me.

+1 for the Allchin mount--I have one on a 327 TRR and it is far superior to the factory mount. Be sure to specify the exact rds you plan to use--I had to send back a mount because I clicked on the "wrong" model. Allchin was very prompt and pain free in replacing the mount, IIRC all it cost me...

How's the accuracy? Are the groups to your satisfaction? If you want to keep it, find a good bullseye pistol smith and get it fixed. Either that or dump the piece and move on.

PPC revolvers are usually "zeroed" for the "neck hold" sight picture on a B-27 target--with a "regular" sight picture your point of impact may be quite low. Just something of which you may or may not be aware.
