    K frame ejector

Purchased this used 1969 K frame .22 magnum cylinder. The gear on the extractor seems each cog has been ground on it's left side. I have ten vintage .22 K frame guns and compared it to them and none look the same?

    .22 mag cylinder

Purchased a K frame .22 magnum cylinder. The gear on the extractor seems each cog has been ground on it's left side. I have ten vintage .22 K frame guns and cylinders here compared it to and none look like this. My question is, was there M-48 dash series that used this type?

Custom S&W in 32 magnum feasibility check

project .327 mag update Mentioned to my local gun shop / range looking for a trade-in K frame to build the next .327 from. Now have four center fires to chose from. First photo the latest purchase, an old 4 screw model 15 as in donor class condition (cost $275) most likely the one. Have a...

    Bullet diameter for .32 S&W and .32 H&R .312 or .313?

Been using Missouri coated .313 diameter wadcutters in my Model 16. Looking to buy jacketed bullets for .32 H&R and Hornady's are .312 diameter. Are both these sizes correct to use where it's a either-or situation? Thanks.

New to me grips, Been hunting for years

target gripd Have a bunch of them, just won an action for yet another at $18. Used to be just one or two listed a week, lately many of them showing up. I sand of the irritating checkerboard off, some I stain, some get coated. Use them on small caliber minimal recoil distance target shooting.

    Model 19-2 round but purchase

greed (Quote) No way would I part that gun out to make something else; you don't find so many pristine older guns hiding under a coat of crud that you can afford to make Frankenguns out of them. Load and shoot that one, is all I'd do to it. The donor gun chosen will receive a .327 mag...

    Model 19-2 round but purchase

brief first day testing Grouped comparatively with my 4" in an abbreviated session, very comfortable too. Both too nice to use in converting so the search goes on for a donor frame.

    Model 19-2 round but purchase

Doing constant projects coordinated with others on this site. Recently after weeks looking on Gun Broker (blown away every Sunday night) for K frame donor for another .327 Magnum conversion, big surprise. While shooting at the local range / gun shop each Saturday informed them looking for a...

    Polished Metal Conversions .357 .44 special .44 mag .45 L.C. Same gun

.357 In early '70s bought my M-28-2 4" blued gun (before polished) Main frame of it used in the gun bottom of photo. .357 to .44 special After a year or two opted for the .357 barrel to be lined and cylinder (in very bottom of photo) opened to .44 special and...

Custom S&W in 32 magnum feasibility check

Steelslaver, Have one last question.. My M-16 .32H&R (now .327 mag) is not countersunk, my M-19 is countersunk. When sent the K22 cylinder out to be converted to .327 should it then be countersunk or not?

What 14 gains of 2400 did in my M-19-4

Bullet Photos ]You definitely need to post a pic of your “crimp”. Here's the photos. Bullets were a no-name buy from Gun Broker in a bag? Looks like missed the crimp groove, those here will know?

Custom S&W in 32 magnum feasibility check

M-16 in .327 Steelslayer ,, This is my M-15 with M-16 barrel and M-16 cylinder reamed to .327 . With .32 wadcutters and bullseye most accurate of all my guns. With .327 mag rounds likes the long barrel's burn time.

Custom S&W in 32 magnum feasibility check

Making a .327 Steelslayer,,, Your info's saving me many hours of mismatching, thanks. Tried what you said, put the 22 cylinder in my M-19. It does work, cycles perfectly. Already have .22 L.R. (like new) barrels converted to .32 just need the cylinder opened up to .327 is that correct?

What 14 gains of 2400 did in my M-19-4

Taper? Back in the '70's bought this extra Taper die for this purpose. Will have to go over the 500 shells made using it. Thanks for the info.
