Caje's marital advice for the newly wed

Brewers reviving beers from the ancient past

I am with you on the Abita, although I prefer the Andygator myself. Little hard to find sometimes in North Alabama, but we have a great Italian joint five minutes from the house that keeps it on tap.

Wow, I thought that they were bringing back Schlitz.

    Pauline Pusser autopsy....

According to the book I mentioned, which I believe has pictures of some of the spent casings, it was 30-06. The casings in the pics are bottlenecked, which a .30 carbine would be straight walled.

    Pauline Pusser autopsy....

It's a great read. The author was teaching Geneaolgy at a small college near Chattanooga when a student told him she had an interesting family history. One of her relatives was Louise Hatchcock, the woman Pusser shot and killed at the Shamrock Motel at the Tennessee/Mississippi state line, after...

    Pauline Pusser autopsy....

I have followed the Pusser story for many years. Pusser no more shot Pauline than I did. She was hit twice in the head from 30.06 rounds out of a BAR. The gun was never found, and probably never will be found. There is a man who has spent the better part of ten years at least trying to discredit...

    Justified…..

Best show I've seen on tv in my 54 years. Liked Givens' Stetson Carson so much, I found a nice one on ebay and had it cut and reshaped with the correct band like it looked in the pilot episode. Olyphant and Goggins were great in their roles, with back and forth banter that just cracked me up...

    I Bought Another Taurus.

I have an older, blued Taurus 445 in .44 Special that I really like. Sold to a friend years ago, and basically had to beg him to buy it back. Has a really nice blued finish, and shoots as well as my J frames.

A TV show I wouldn't mind seeing again...

I'd like another run of "Justified". Not a series like the 8 episode run they just did, but where Raylan Givens comes out of retirement and has to try to hock down Boyd Crowder. The last episode of the 8 show run made sitting through the first seven episodes worth my time.

    M&P SPORT 2 DIFFERENT UPPER

I want to put an M lock style upper on my rifle; I'm not wild about the big front post sight, and will use an optic instead that's for closer quarters than the Eotech that's on it now. I'm pretty new to AR stuff; just wanting a reasonably priced M lock upper that I can match a decent optic with...

So I got to check out a new blued Python today...

Never owned a Python, but I've always wanted to. The new three inch guns are probably my favorite. If they come out with a blued version, and it looks good, they may have to take my money. I just hope "blued" is truly that. I realize the old Royal Blue is the cat's meow, and probably not going...

Signs of Quality Workmanship-Browning FN A5

I have a Light Twelve, non vented rib A5 12 gauge from 1953 that I inherited from my Dad. He took no telling how much pheasant with it when he lived in Michigan. He was a tool and die maker, and as such, the thing is absolutely flawless with perfect wood and deep bluing. I've never shot it, but...

    Any Corvette owners?

On my fourth one now. It's an 89 six speed coupe with both painted and lexan roof panels from the factory. Just turned 82k miles. I've had two C5's and enjoyed them, but the C4 has always been a favorite for some reason. Just feels more raw and traditional sports car to me. The 89 is cool...

    "Justified" returns!

Or Dewey Crowe's Cadillac that won't stop running when he kills the switch, or either he forgets to put it in Park when he gets out lol.
