I'm sorry to say but I'm thinking of selling my wife's set. Some of you may remember about 7 years ago my posting about them. I lost her this year to cancer and I think I'm going to start selling off my collection.
Would you guys recommend doing it on an auction site like gun broker?
Or I was...
Thanks guys for the info.
The trigger might even be about 1 pound its that light.
I'm comparing it to my early 1950's k22 k32 k38 and a 1957 model 29. This thing is a hair trigger in single action. Double action it feels somewhat normal, all thou very smooth and maybe a tad lighter.
I'm...
I have a 28-2 with a modified trigger. I have no idea what they did to it but its about a 2 pound trigger now. I didn't measure it but just guessing.
Is there usually one or two particular parts that have been modified that i can replace to make it stock again?
Are these part/s available from S&W?
Thanks guys.... I don't think ill sell it.
The trigger has been modified and the pull feels like about 2 pounds its very light. I'm wondering if its one part hat was modified and if that part can be changed back to stock or at least give a little harder pull.
Its not like its a match gun for...
A quick question on my 28-2 1973 HP.... what are the options other than 6" or 4" barrel? This one is the 4" barrel version with adjustable rear sight.
The trigger was reworked on this one and its very light and crisp. It snaps like a candy cane.
I actually had to get a second letter from Roy. I posted the pic of the first letter because i didnt have a pic handy of the second letter.
If you notice he calls it a 4 screw. I guess he based it on delivery date.
Oh yea shes a great cook. Loves to cook.
She also owns a 67 Chevelle SS 396 that she bought back in high school and drove a C dragster for several years. The Chevelle actually has a ZZ502 and a 5 speed in it now.
Shes a keeper. 2015 is 30 years for us.
Yep, we shoot them all. They are very fun to shoot. She loves to go shooting. Now i just need to show her how to clean them all.
I joke with her and ask her if she wants to caddy for me. She asks "whats a shooting caddy?" I said "its easy, all you so is walk down and hang targets, load...
Sorry for the cell phone pics.... the guns are actually a lot nicer than these pics make them look.
Its an interesting story how they came together. It took me over a year of tracking down and doing some research on it.
The K-32 was a wedding gift to my wife in 1984 from Ed Giener (sp?) who...
I haven't been on here in a while now. I had promised a few pics of my wife's 1950's trio.
K22 K32 K38
The K32 has the optional beaver tail hammer and target grips in the center.
I'm thinking I might buy 2 sets of diamond target grips to put on these to make them look and feel like the K-32 she has. Of course id keep the factory grips for them tucked away.
I just like the look and feel of the target grips better. I'll see what she wants to do after tonight.
Yea sweet pieces you have there!!!
Tonight's the night... Im giving my wife the 1956 K-22 and 1954 K-38 to go with the 1951 K-32 she has owned for 29 years.
Gonna give them to her and then go out to dinner.
