I haven't been on here in a while now. I had promised a few pics of my wife's 1950's trio.

K22 K32 K38

The K32 has the optional beaver tail hammer and target grips in the center.

Cool, just as they were intended to be, a matched set.

Is your wife a collector or target shooter? Any interesting story as to how the set came together? Enjoy!

Sorry for the cell phone pics.... the guns are actually a lot nicer than these pics make them look.

Its an interesting story how they came together. It took me over a year of tracking down and doing some research on it.

The K-32 was a wedding gift to my wife in 1984 from Ed Giener (sp?) who was a friend of hers. Ed worked for Remington for decades and was the head of international sales when my wife knew him. The K-32 was given to him as a gift from Remington. Ed's been gone for many years now. You can see from the second page of Roys letter that it was shipped to Remington Arms originally.

The other two are a little older and were added recently to complete the trio. Thankfully they were much less expensive to buy to complete the trio.

Yea we collect but we also shoot often and shoot everything we own. No safe queens for us. Next on her list is an original Henry.

Thanks, I recall your original post on the K-32. Glad to see the collecting bug bit in a nice way :).

Congrats on rounding up the Masterpiece Trio. I too just finished assembling my trio this last year - it is a good feeling.:)

Thanks for the post, pictures, and story. A wife who's interested in a K-32 ......... now that's a story worth reading about.

Jim, I recall your earlier posts about the K-32 and all the interest it stirred up at the time. Congratulations on acquiring the other two target K-frame Masterpieces to go with it... I guess it's always easiest to complete the set when you start by having the rarest one, huh? Regardless of the sequence, you and your wife can be justly proud of getting the set, and I know that shooting them will bring you much pleasure. Congratulations again and thanks again for sharing.

Yep, we shoot them all. They are very fun to shoot. She loves to go shooting. Now i just need to show her how to clean them all.

I joke with her and ask her if she wants to caddy for me. She asks "whats a shooting caddy?" I said "its easy, all you so is walk down and hang targets, load magazines, pick up brass, wipe the guns down, and clean them when we get home." She said "that's what your for". :)

Jim,
A nice K trio!
Did you ask Roy about the TH not being mentioned in the letter?

Wow, a wife who collects and shoots Smith & Wesson revolvers.
I bet she is a good cook too! :D

Oh yea shes a great cook. Loves to cook.
She also owns a 67 Chevelle SS 396 that she bought back in high school and drove a C dragster for several years. The Chevelle actually has a ZZ502 and a 5 speed in it now.

Shes a keeper. 2015 is 30 years for us.

Jim,
A nice K trio!
Did you ask Roy about the TH not being mentioned in the letter?

I actually had to get a second letter from Roy. I posted the pic of the first letter because i didnt have a pic handy of the second letter.
If you notice he calls it a 4 screw. I guess he based it on delivery date.
