    M&P Shield Gen 1 ?

I recommend the Apex striker block with the sear. And as long as you have it apart, polish the block channel (hole) as well. That will address most of the "gritty" feel. And it's free....

    M&P Shield Gen 1 ?

I've tried the trigger on MANY 2.0s that I've sold. I still like the Apex sear and polishing on my old 1.0 better.;)

M and P Shield 1.0 9 MM trigger pull wt

You might consider using the Apex sear spring. And maybe trigger spring as well to "split the difference" and get back a slight amount of poundage.....YMMV

    Striker Off Center? Striker catching?

These pistols have a "striker liner" of a poly material. The striker itself is a pretty loose slide fit, and depends on the striker hole in the breech face to force the striker into alignment just prior to hitting the primer. As said, inspection of the fired rounds, i.e. primer, will tell...

    First firearm purchase

"Looks to me like it's been stippled in somebody's garage"... Uhhhh....Doesn't really matter "where" the work is done, but "how" the work was done. Not everyone has the luxury of a dedicated gun room or shop. I love my gun shop. But I know and appreciate what yer a sayin'. Here in Idaho it's...

    Apex Sear

I have. Several. But the sear is only part of improvements to make while apart. Judicious polishing and Apex sear block all contribute to the noticeable improvement. Watch Apex vids....

    Help please

Before the gun........take a SAFETY class such as the NRA Basic Pistol or another offered by someone in your area. There will be someone, I'll bet. A .22 can, will, and has killed.......And don't be offended. Smarter (but gun ignorant) people than you or I have learned the hard way!! Good Luck!

    New To Me Shield

Don't fret! ha ha. The upside down pic is a mystery I have yet to solve. Sometimes it happens...or not...

    m&p 2.0 9mm extractor sticking out

Looks like the slide contour "scallop" is smaller on the 9. That would leave the extractor looking proud. Could be the pic, ? If this is the case, then it's a design characteristic..why? I have no idea.

    M&P 2.0 Flaws or Acceptable?

Only you can decide if this warrants a return.

M&P Shield 380 EZ: Front Sight Wiggle

Short of sending it in, the Loctite fix is acceptable. Just be judicious about cleaning up what doesn't run under the sight. Q tips, etc. It should be unnoticeable.
