Few weeks ago I found this 686-3 Midnight Black 4 inch on a local forum. I did not have to think twice. No box or papers. It was a PD trade in and if it was issued it saw little use. I received my S&W letter today. I took it to the range and it shoots nice with 357 mag loads.

For $500 with ammo. I would have driven the 8 hrs round trip and not though twice about it.

In my experience a lot of old cop SS gun finish's are cleaned up so they can sell them for more money.

Grace is a Michigan based company. For the last several years come to the Gun show in Novi Michigan right before Christmas. I have talked to them real nice folks. It is nice to see a leader in gunsmith tools take the time to meet the public show show there latest products.

I have a Taurus Model 94 stainless steel 22 LR 9 shot revolver. I bought new in 1990. It was the first of the SS 94's. I have put thousands of rounds through it. Not a problem. It is the only Taurus I own.

The exposed rivets are for extra security. It was changed in 1981 or 1982. The old way could be popped open. Peerless changed there design in about 2000 or so.

They also made a 2.5 inch but less than 800 or so made. It is a 10-8. Mine is below. I also have the S&W letter for it. They also made a 3 inch standard barrel and I have one. I also need a 6 inch.

I carry 2 guns because I do not believe in "A" gun. I have one located for sitting and one for standing. Not many people think anything when I put my hand in my pocket.
