    Your Favorite 41 mag loads

My hunting load for my 6" Md 57 no dash is a Nosler 210 gr JHP with 21.0 gr W-296, WLP primer, Win case. Very accurate in my gun and chrono's at 1275 fps.

The ammunition shortage is finally over!

Went by my local WalMart today and they finally got some handgun ammo in for the first time in about 2 - 3 months .....saw 1 bx of WWB 357 Sig , and 2 bxs of Rem UMC 38 Spl 125 gr JHP. Lots of shotgun shells and 270 & 30-06 rifle ammo, and a few assorted bxs of 22 LR. Other than that, nothing !

    Buffalo Bore Ammo

In my old flat latch Md 37 snubby I carry the BB 158 gr SWCHP-GC standard pressure load. It shoots exactly to point of aim at 7 yds and is very low muzzle flash. Good stuff !

    Age is just a number!

A friend of mine, 91 yrs old (30 years older than me), gave me his deer rifle after this past season ... said he "finally has to hang it up" ... has macular degeneration in his dominant eye and can no longer see to "humanely shoot a deer". At 91 he still rides a stationary bike 3 miles every...

I wonder how many will truthfully say....

Unfortunately a shooter at our local range was killed in the parking lot while placing his 9mm Glock, loaded, into the old style plastic box that had the protrusion that went through the trigger guard, causing the gun to fire.

    Kel-tec vs. LCP 380's

I have a KelTec P3AT 380, and 5 of my friends also have one. We have shot Fed 90 gr HS JHP, Hornady 90 gr JHP, WWB 95 gr FN-FMJ, and Rem 95 gr FMJ, with no issues or failures. IMO, they are reliable, light, easily concealed, and although I have not had an occasion to use their customer service...

    Handloading Barnes X Bullet

I load the 180 gr Barnes TS in 300 Win Mag. The Win Mag has a very short neck. I have measured the set-back and only about 20% of the time have I had set-back, and never more than 0.001. I did not see any effect on accuracy with this small amount of set-back. I had been shooting the Hornady 180...

    Powder for .223

I guess I'm behind the curve, old school, or whatever , but I still use H335 for the 55 - 62 gr bullets.

Recommendation help for a digital scale

Thanks to all who have made recommendations here. My RCBS scale that will now not hold a zero drifts by 0.3 gn constantly, when weighing anything or not .. it never stays static. It was manufactured by Ohaus for RCBS. So, I am caught in the middle .. it is out of warranty with Ohaus and RCBS...

    .40 powder favorites

+1 what Smithcrazy said ... even tho I shoot the max published loads, and haven't had any problems, I did work these loads up from much lower starting powder charges, chronographing as I worked up to the max. For the Glock 23 I have, it shot most accurately at the max load, and I did not have...

    .40 powder favorites

I have used H-Universal for bullet weights from 150 to 180 gr in my Glock 23. Universal is very consistent & accurate, and very clean burning. I have not experienced any problems with pressure, even at the max loads I shoot in the Glock 23. I am loading the max published load for Universal in...

social S&w ... thanks.. that link works fine. I appreciate all the input, and this gives me some scales to research and see what best fits my needs. I like the GemPro 250 that Paul listed also, and need to compare all the above mentioned choices. Thanks again to all for the input and...

Recommendation help for a digital scale

Thanks for the responses. I am looking at the Dillon and the Pact scale currently. The better warranty seems to be with the PACT scale, although I am not positive it is the best scale at this point. As for couleeflyfisher 's question: I have a balance beam (RCBS), but had a bad auto accident in...

Recommendation help for a digital scale

My old (appox 1990) RCBS digital scale finally bit the dust and is no longer covered by a RCBS warranty. In calling around to repair facilities it looks like it will cost me around $ 130 to get it repaired. I think at that cost I could probably buy a new digital scale with a warranty. I load for...
