    Walther P99 Limited Edition

Hello all. Here is my Walther P99 9mm James Bond Limited Edition that I acquired a few years ago. It is a Gen 1 and produced in 1998. Most serial numbers of this kind are 007 XXX with space between the 7 and the next number but mine is 007XXX. I have yet to see one in this format. Also there is...

    459~5904 transition, the (T)A-B-Cs

Thanks for the post. I too have often wondered why the "variants" and none to identify one from the other. Just plain 459. Mine was acquired around 1988, TBN77XX, square guard, stainless mags with S&W at the plate, phillips head on right side safety. So same as most 459 except that the rear...

    Model 459 buy or pass?

Dad got this way back in the late 80s. This photo was taken last year during one of my visits in the range. Still shoots straight and with no failures. I think you made a good choice. BTW, the 459 comes with black plastic grips. Jun

At the range with my 459

My 459 was bought around 1988 brand new. Maybe they are later models of the 459. Just guessing here. Jun

    Found a mint 459 today!

Congratulations! Your 459 looks like what I have. Fixed sights, Square trigger guard. I don't doubt your claim on it's accuracy and reliability. Check our my earlier thread when I took it to the a week ago. Jun

At the range with my 459

Thank you all for the input on the 459. As I have said, I got it from my dad but was looking favorably at newer guns at that time that I didn't bother to give it much attention. It was only about 4 or 5 years ago did I tried it out and was surprised that it surpassed other newer guns(not...

At the range with my 459

Thank you for the comments. That 459 was bought by my dad brand new I think around 1988. When he passed away 2004 I inherited it but never got to really use it. I guess I was taken more by the "newer" guns available. As the years went by(and several guns later) I found myself taking the old...

    9mm bullet

From what I remember, he said he used to load it using his Jericho. I wouldn't really even dream of loading and firing this cartridge. Like you, I felt doubts on whether it's really a 9mm round or if it's even safe to use. The ACP is Arms Corp Philippines but other than that I have no idea...

    S&W 459

True. I often wished that there would be more angle/curve in the grip. It wouldn't really help in my case to put rubber grips into it because it would just thicken it some more. But I guess this old reliable is more useful to me than most failure-magnet guns out there today. Jun

    S&W 459

They have very good 1911s from what I've heard. They have a store here in Makati City, Metro Manila. From what I was told the guns' parts are well made and don't have the rough edges that some guns made here have. I have no idea about the price here but you made me curious enough to plan a...

    S&W 459

I was at the range a week ago with some buddies of mine. I decided to bring my 459 (it's been years since it last fired a round). I won't be mentioning the brands of firearms they had with them but they experienced all sorts of problems from failure to feed, failure to fire, to failure to...

    9mm bullet

A week ago while on the firing range, a fellow shooter handed me a couple of this 9mm bullets that I am not familiar with. Any one out there seen one of these? Thanks! Jun
