    .380 acp Ammo

Can't vouch for Dan, but Fiocchi is a good ammo company. I've never had a single problem after many thouhsands of rounds of their ammo over the years.

    .380 acp Ammo

This is an argument for sticking with 9mm -- cheaper & more widely available. It's a larger round, yet it costs less.

    Freedom Munitions Ammo Review

That must have been an oddly hot batch. I've fired 100+ rounds of their .45 hardball though a Springfield XD(M) 5.25" competition model (a polymer gun about half a pound lighter than a 1911) and it felt normal, meaning on par with common ammo like Blazer Brass. I noted their 124gr 9mm...

Anybody Ever Fire a .357 in Self Defense?

This would be an argument for .45ACP -- as much momentum as a .357 Mag and it's won't destroy your hearing as much.

My #1 reason for choosing a revolver for SD

I think revolvers are a lot of fun to fire on the range. Though the idea of a defensive gun with only 5 rounds simply doesn't appeal to me. Each has advantages & disadvantages and you have to decide which you want to bet on. I'll agree a revolver is better when you're literally touching the...

Good deal or not? / freedom munitions

I'm not impressed by Freedom Munitions. Groups magically grow notably larger when using Freedom Munitions as compared to cheap factory ammo like Magtech.

    Quality Control Department

Moon clips that are no more than 2 months old and which all worked just fine the last time I used them within the last 2 weeks have magically become defective? How exactly would that happen? I'm very careful with how I transport my moon clips such that they don't get bent. Specifically, I...

    Quality Control Department

This is seriously your argument for why their quality control isn't up to par? They already have higher prices than many other gun makers and they still can't manage to make a gun that fires! Nor a gun that doesn't literally fall apart on its first range visit. I guess I'm just being too...

    Quality Control Department

Keep in mind that I was firing what is simply a range toy for fun. What if someone had instead been firing a 686 in a life & death situation? This kind of failure could leave them dead, instead of merely annoyed. Do you tell a dead person's family, "well, not all guns are going to work when...

    Quality Control Department

I'm not asking for perfection, but I have my limits. When I end up having to send most of my guns back for repair I'm not going to be in a good mood. I think you can understand that.

    Quality Control Department

Actually, that is not obvious to me, nor to probably the other 95% of gun owners who don't know what a strain screw is. Yes, now is everyone's chance to attack me for my failure to have a background in finance rather than gunsmitthing.

    325 Thunder Ranch vs 625

Why would someone buy the 325 instead of the 625? The 325 is lighter (at 31 ounces) and costs $200 more. I guess it would be better for concealed carry, but then no N-frame with a 4" barrel is really suited for concealment, so that seems unlikely. So I'm stumped.

    Quality Control Department

Does S&W actually have one? I starting to seriously doubt it. My 986 literally fell apart after only 100 rounds the first time I took it to the range and had to be sent back to S&W for repair. That repair took about 3 weeks. Today I went to the range with 30 clips of 9mm ammo all ready to...

    S&W 625

Yes, I agree. Overall WI has laws that are pretty much pro-gun. I can buy an AR-15 with no waiting period. We have no FOID card. I can open carry my Glock. I can have unlimited amounts of ammo shipped to me. I can buy magazines of unlimited capacity, so I have 30 round magazines on my...

    S&W 625

Yeah, the price is high, but unfortunately, that's the lowest price in the nation according to gunwatcher.com. There aren't many stores that even have this gun in stock, so there's not a lot of competition unfortunately. I'm not sure why. Does S&W not make enough to meet demand? Not that...
