    S&W 460 XVR

Outstanding purchase! I have that one and two others, they are a literal blast to shoot and very accurate. I can hunt with them here in SC, but they are a bit loud, so will need to invest in some small electronic ear protection..unless I slow the rounds I reload down a LOT. Currently shooting...

    Anyone here have a M-60...

I just use pocket pistols in 38spl so I'm not tempted to put 357's in them! Because I'll do it! So, I just keep my Colt Cobra, and various S&W models (like 36, 37 and 10) as my go to wheel guns for EDC pocket carry. Sometimes in a holster, sometimes in a pocket au naturale! I've tried 357's in a...

What guns do you want to get in 2018?

Well in the last month of December 2017 I picked up a S&W 64-1, and a 15-2, but now I'm thinking I want a 3" blued or stainless 44mag to go with my 24-3...maybe one with a non-fluted cylinder....

    TRR8

Well...it's not that I WOULD remove the barrel, but I guess knowing I COULD do it leaves some possibilities open...like if I wanted another barrel with a different twist...just thinking! I know..very dangerous!

    TRR8

So, with a Dan Wesson, you also have a spacer that you insert between the barrel and the cylinder face so you leave a "gap", does EWK offer one of those too since technically you could unscrew the barrel off the frame if you really wanted to. I have bought a few tools from Eric at EWK and was...

Is the polymer Bodyguard revolver known to have problems?

How about a nice Model 37? Or an old (maybe a new) Colt Cobra. I really like the Model 10, 36 and 37 snubs, but I also like 6 shots, so I usually carry either the Colt or the Model 10. Colt is lighter though! But of course these don't have bobbed hammers if that is what you are looking for.

Which is better - A 640 pro or Kimber K6?

Depending on my mood, a Colt Cobra, M37, M36 or M10. I don't own a 640 but have looked at them and the Kimber, but other than the bobbed hammer I haven't seen the need, the Colt and M10 both have 6 rounds, the 36 and 37 5, but I like variety! Maybe I need something newer?

Hunting with a 29/629 vs Ruger Hawks

Well, depending on where I'm hunting and what I'm wearing usually decides the gun I carry! I don't pistol hunt, so my guns are backups to my rifles! If I am going a long distance, my rifle is usually in my backpack, which is designed to hold a rifle over my shoulder, I can get to it, but I need...

    Field Carry Revolver Advice

I would recommend either of these a 24-3 in 44spl, or the Alaskan Backpacker IV which is a scandium frame 44mag. The backpacker IV is VERY lightweight but keep in mind however, shooting 44mag out of it isn't a lot of fun. But it IS VERY LIGHT! You can carry it all day long with zero issue. The...

    Slab sided barrels!

Actually I prefer the slab sided revolvers! I can't post pics here anymore due to photobuckets policy change! But I have more slab sided revolvers than I do traditional round barrels!

    627PC comparison pictures

Why not just a Mod 36 or 37 in a OWB leather holster that holds it close to your body? Throw on a pair of shorts, belt t-shirt and walk out the door? I use either of those, and a beat up old Colt Cobra. If I don't feel like a belt I put one of them in my pocket. I like the bigger frames...

    629 Super?/Hunter/Slabside

Outstanding Hunter! I have something similar in 7 1/2" but it has weights exposed...it's another limited edition, I'm glad to see that one (sort of) because now I need to add that one to my collection of S&W Slab sided revolvers! Nice find!

    460 barrel length

Well, I have the 8 3/8" and the PC 7.5" 460's and honestly, you could use either for what you are looking to do. The main difference between the two is the weight distribution, the 8 3/8" is lighter in the barrel, the weight feels like it is back at the receiver. The 7.5" feels heavier in the...

    Thoughts please......

There are too many issues with that 460 for it to be the ammo. I have the 7.5"PC version and shoot handloaded 200gr Hornadys at 2000fps and NOTHING comes loose, no issues with the cylinder, it is a great shooting handgun. I do check the screws on mine after a range trip when cleaning, but so far...
