Arachnid Arms in Plano TX has a compact 2.0 in 40 cal. No thumb safety, 3.6 barrel (sku 11691) for $326.00 no cc fee and $20 shipping.
I do not work for them just passing the info for anyone interested.
Thank you for the feedback Snowman. I appreciate your help.
I have a ported shield in 9mm and want to stay with a shield and get a red dot. Currently exploring the options that are out there.
Curious if any member has bought the PC Shield with 4” barrel and red dot factory installed. I am considering and would appreciate any feedback. Thanks
I purchased a 2.0 compact with 3.6 inch barrel last year and it was in a plastic case. From what I have read S&W is all over the board with the plastic case vs. cardboard box.
Welcome from North Texas! I also have the Shield 1.0 PC 9mm have bounced a few questions off the members. You will find a lot of great folks here that gladly share info and experiences.
Has anyone swapped out the sear on a 9mm PC Shield 1.0? I like the trigger on my PC and was wondering if the Apex would be an improvement over the factory’s.
Thanks for any input!
I also have the PC Shield 1.0 in 9mm and for me the grip was a little thin. I installed a Hogue handball rubber grip last year and really like the feel now. It has stayed tight and in place for many range visits.
I installed a Hogue grip on my 9mm Shield PC 1.0 last year and it has remained tight for several range trips. As others have stated it can be a chore to get on but worth the battle IMO. It improved the feel of the grip for me.
I have had great retention with Hogue Hand-All grips on my Shield. They can be a little stubborn to install, but once they are on they stay on. Really helped me with the grip.
I also own a 9mm PC Shield 1.0. Installed a Hoque grip to give it a better feel. For me it shoots great and is accurate with the factory trigger. Great pistol imo!
