Up for sale is my M&P 45 with the 4.5" barrel. I sent it out to Smith & Wesson to have them fit the updated sear housing block so the Apex parts would fit. While it was there they replaced the striker liner ,barrel , striker and front block. I had no issues with those parts but am always happy...

By bigger mean full size or better. The shield is a great carry gun.

I would go bigger for home defense. The bigger the easier to control more ammo etc

I have been looking for a used one for a while. They seem to be going in good condition for mid to high $300 with the factory mags and case. So I would think right around that price.

I got our area coordinator to allow a carry options division in our monthly matches. You get to shoot for score but not for competition.

My performance center ported core has a different slide profile than the non ported pro core. Yes, I am excluding the ports. The ported is based off the early 9L slide and the core 5" is based off the pro slide. I rarely shoot mine with the ported barrel. I normally run a plain KKM barrel.

I run a speed shooters non captive setup with 11lbs for my 9mm I really like it and don't notice a front sight dip anymore when the slide comes home

Ported version is the only one with the factory adjustable over travel stop which is why I got mine.

The price was fantastic. I paid $400 for a 4.25 which I thought was great but yours is way better
