well the nightmare is over i had a few problems going on. i called apex and as it turned out i didn't push the pin for the trigger bar in far enough and the trigger was flexing and not pulling the trigger bar forward enough. this also led me to find that the pin in the trigger wasn't long enough...

I was going to mod the gun from the get go. I traded my sw40ve for the SD plus 200 bucks at a LGS I'll have to pick up some small files and try again.

Well I didn't file I used really fine sand paper maybe I haven't taken enough off. And I have been sanding with the safety pulled so as not to damage it. Could you post a picture of what you did to the trigger?

well i read a post on here where some one was asking about the longer sw40f barrel on a sw40ve so i found one locally for 30 bucks and tried it out. the only problem ive had so far is you have to slide the barrel into the slide a little bit to get it to fit before you can put on the recoil...

ok so another test proves that you can use a sw40f barrel on a sw40ve

well i ask because about this time last year i was rudely awoken by some one pushing out a window ac unit at my house to break in. by the time i had my shotgun loaded he had made it out my front door. thankfully the police caught him after he tried to break into another house on my block.
