Smith and Wesson M&P 15 upper receiver

Smith and Wesson M&P 15 upper receiver I'm going to assume he means changing out the dust cover and FA-less reciever for one with a dust cover and FA. Yes, the upper receiver can be changed to any quality AR15 style upper you want. I changed mine out a while ago to a Spikes Tactical upper...

Lack of Dust cover on M&P Sport???

The m&p15 sport got me started in ARs. After owning one and modding it, I learned how easy it was to build an AR. The original parts of my mp15 are spread out over 4 or 5 rifles now. Sent from my iPhone 4S using Tapatalk

Lack of Dust cover on M&P Sport???

With all the deals going on in the AR world, I ended up finding an assembled upper receiver for dirt cheap and just swapped it on. Just looks "conplete" with a FA and dust cover. But now that I think of it, I've never closed it really, and never touched the FA. My m&p15 has been changed...

    AMISH MAFIA & BLACK RIFLES

I saw that show too. The entire episode they were freakish out about poachers after seeing a spent 7.62 casing. They ran around in fear, yet the first jeep that drives by with a couple guys with rifles they flag down for a ride. Sent from my iPhone 4S using Tapatalk

I start my Humanities class today

Believe it or not, some of my favorite classes were some of my humanities courses. I was in an engineering program, so after 7 classes of math, it was nice to have a change of pace. Despite the common myth, no brain-washing occurred, no political spew was mentioned. I never had my ideas...

    AMISH MAFIA & BLACK RIFLES

Show is fake. They trump it up like he's offering protection to the community but the entire show revolves around internal drama between the main "characters". Every time I turn it on, I just see them all being pissed at each other, driving a Benz/caddy around and shooting guns at pumpkins...

    M&p sport ma compliant question

Strip it down to lower receiver if it comes to that. Not saying I want to see it come to that, but the lower receiver is technically what's the firearm no? Sent from my iPhone 4S using Tapatalk

    M&p sport ma compliant question

Keep in mind, even though it uses a carbine buffer and spring, it's a rifle lenght tube. The center bore is just drilled to carbine depth. What that means is if you put a collapsing stock on it and slid it forward, the buffer tube will stick out if the rear of the stock. Take a look at end of...

If you really want to "build" one here is where to start!!

I'd think lubrication might do the job well, but worst case scenario you might see a thin patina form over the bare AL over time, but I don't think you'd see it corrode away. You could always clear coat the area, or use other forms of covering other than anodizing. But with the way I clean...

If you really want to "build" one here is where to start!!

Not necessarily. Not all AR 80% are the same. Some are more closer to 90% complete and just require machining out the fire control group pocket. You might see bare AL inside the AR, but outside is already compete. Some however required some other machining and tapping of the buffer tube...
