This is out of focus but it doesn't look pitted. In the 1st photo the fluted portion of the cylinder looks to have some bluing left. I'm wondering if it's even worth offering a couple of hundred bucks?

The seller described this as a "mat" finish...:eek: I'm thinking ruined. Any guesses as to what my have happened here?

UPDATE! Just got off the phone. The gun is a 25-2 (model of 1955) . No diamond grips. serial # 283xx. The question remains did this gun ship with a matt finish?
