    Hello and welcome to the Forum! Look closely, are you sure it isn't a Model 13? That is a 357 magnum, and a Model 18 is a 22 LR. I don't have my SCSW handy, so I can't give you a manufacture date. I'm sure someone will be along shortly that can though.

    Thank you for the range report. I'm surprised to hear that the Model 69 had less felt recoil than your 629. Do you think it was because the axis of the bore is lower in your hand or maybe the grips?

    I am excited to see it. I'm working on the book at present. It is fairly straight forward and an easy read. The move should be good, too. Clint Eastwood made it, and Taya Kyle, Chris Kyle's widow, said the movie got it right.
