I actually mounted mine that way on my varmint rifle. You can level your rifle faster and easier that way.

Lookin sweet. I just threw out 20 rounds from my Sport II. It brought back memories doing so. And you have a 1in8 so you'll be able to go a little heavier with your bullets. Enjoy.

I'll go for that. Because of Ammo so high priced I have bought 20 rd boxes. Lets see I got 2 boxes of Remington 5.56 55gr M193, Hornaday 62gr, some Hornaday .223 55gr. The barrel you know is a 1in9 twist, so there is no reason to go higher then 62gr. But you never know it may throw 75gr better ...
