My Shield does the same thing. If I push back the slide a little it stays out of battery with a topped off mag +1. Is this an issue?

I had the same issue. They initially just polished the feed ramp but that didn't work. The fix was S&W replacing the guide rod spring and barrel altogether. No FTF problems after that.
