Smee78, I like your grips. What brand and wood type please? Thanks!

    638 no lock question

They can't be that rare. I own 2 and I have a co-worker/friend who owns another one...all 3 are no-lock. My two were purchased new a few years apart.

    625 45acp short barrel ?

I would buy a 625 Performance Center UDR in a heartbeat if S&W would just make one for me. I love my 627 PC UDR. A .45 ACP version of it would be awesome as well.

    325NG with Gov. grips?

The 325 NightGuard is an N-frame. When S&W expanded beyond the N-frame to the .500 and the Governor, they wisely built these new larger frames to accomodate the smaller K/L grip size. And you are right...Hogue does not offer the rubber Bantam boot grip for the N-frame, and I agree that this is...

    629 PC 2.6 inch 44mag snubby holster??

Any holster for a 2.5" N-Frame will work. These are my comments copied from another recent thread asking the same question about a holster for a 627 PC 2.6 inch .357mag snubby. "Absolutely nothing wrong with the Galco Combat Master for 2.5" N frames. It is the CM134 in tan or CM134B in black...

    Holster suggestions for S&W 627 PC 2.6"

The 8 shot cylinder is the same diameter as the cylinder on every other N frame...more holes closer together in the same amount of space. Think about it...if the cylinder was larger, it wouldn't fit in the standard cylinder window of the N frame.

    Holster suggestions for S&W 627 PC 2.6"

Makes me think you got the wrong holster. There is no reason why a 2.5" revolver would not fit in a 3" holster for the same model. It should fit just fine except you would have about 1/2" of unused holster at the bottom. I don't have any 3" holsters or guns, but my 2.5" guns fit in my 4"...

    Holster suggestions for S&W 627 PC 2.6"

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Galco Combat Master for 2.5" N frames. It is the CM134 in tan or CM134B in black. Retails for $82.95 but routinely sells for about $15-$20 less than that. I have no doubt that the Lobo is a slightly nicer product, but the Galco is available without waiting for...

    S & W 637 or 360

May be in the minority on this one, but 637 all the way. The .38 Special is WAY underrated in terms of effectiveness. If you put the rounds in the right spot, a good .38 Special hollow-point will do it's job. And you have a much higher likelihood of hitting the target with the first shot and...

S&W revolver wins audition today at the range...

I forgot to mention, I encouraged her to handle a Ruger SP101 at the gun store, and she liked it, but she came to the same conclusions that I already had (SP101 was larger and heavier and trigger was heavier and not as smooth), and went back to the S&W. I wouldn't even let her near anything...

S&W revolver wins audition today at the range...

My sister recently decided that she wanted to learn how to shoot a handgun and obtain a handgun carry permit. She is taking the safety class this coming weekend, and will have to qualify, so I took her out today and gave her some preliminary instruction. We started with a S&W Model 617 6" 6...

    Model 627

I already have a 627 2 5/8" PC UDR (Ultimate Defensive Revolver) a.k.a. "The Bloodwork Gun," and I put $500 down on a 627 4" Pro Series just two days ago. Both are pictured complete with custom grips in Stainz thread. I currently carry my reloads in Tuff Products Quickstrips, but I plan to get...

Slightly off topic, but what grips are those on the Model 642-2 in the photo?

Model 625 PC with aftermarket grips...pics request!

I like the configuration of the 625 PC...the one with the 4" barrel with the tapered underlug and the red, white, and blue grips, but I HATE the grips. I would like to see some photos of this gun with any other grips than the ones it came with. If I bought one of these, I would probably have...

    66-2 2.5"

I completely agree!!! I once had a 2.5" 66 and a 3" 66. I now only have the 2.5". I bought the 3" after reading all of the hype about it being the ultimate barrel length. I never liked the way it looked, felt, shot, carried, etc. The 2.5" is built for concealed carry. The 4" is built for...
