    How do you carry?

The use of a lockbox would only be for the time I would be required to be on federal or restricted property. At all other times, the loaded pieces would be on my person and immediately accessible if needed. I may not be a rocket scientist (?) of corporate CEO, but my daddy didn't raise no fool...

    Permission to come aboard?

LOL The only Naval vessels I've been aboard were all APA's (Troop Transports). I was "cargo". First two days at sea were always the worst. Not enough soda crackers in the galley to quiet my poor stomach. Then once I got my "sealegs" then I was fine for the rest of the voyage, regardless of...

    Snub nose ammo

Took a 2" snubby .357 Magnum, made by Rossi, to a gun range. Used both .38 Spl, and .357 Mag loads in the piece. When shooting the Magnum loads, I actually noted an audience of three other shooters (all strangers to me) gathered to watch me punch paper. It wasn't my accuracy they appreciated...

    .22 WMR supply

Have three .22 Magnum revolvers, and had a deuce of a time finding sufficient ammo with which to practice. Needed enough ammo to at least get a feel for the 'aimpoint' of the guns, which all have fixed sights. One is a 7-shot S&W 351PD w/single/double action, while the other two are 5-shot NAA...

how many of you have never owned a new S&W Revolver?

Both of my S&W revolvers were bought used. The first one, a .357 Magnum Model 13, was purchased in 1980 from a pawn shop. The second one, a .22 Magnum Model 351PD AirLite, was purchased last year (2014) from a private individual. I don't own any S&W auto-loaders.

    Pachmayr vs. Hogue

Bought a used Mod. 351PD .22 Magnum last year, which came with a Hogue Monogrip already installed. I removed the Hogue grip because it would catch the material of shirts I wore, and "print" because of that rise in material. It felt good when shooting, but was a bit of overkill regarding...

    S&W 357 Magnum

I've got an old .357 Magnum from before 1980, and the model number is stamped in the frame when the cylinder swings out. It is a Model 13-2, with a 4" bull barrel, plain non-adjustable sights, an an "unshrouded" ejector rod. A friend of mine told me it was known as the "FBI model", because...

    Permission to come aboard?

Wow. So many responses. Thanks gents. Nice to see so many "enthusiasts" who love guns. I'm not going to brag about shooting capability or the lack thereof. I'm here because I own two quality revolvers by S&W. The rest is gravy.

    How do you carry?

Where I live, if I were to enter federal property, such as the VA Hospital for treatment, and park my car in their parking structure, I would be subject to arrest if discovered. It is a federal crime to bring a firearm onto federal property, even if it is locked in a tamper-resistant steel box...

    Permission to come aboard?

Thank you, S&W Oldtimer. Only time I ever got to Virginia was on a visit to Arlington some years back, when I went to visit the Vietnam Wall in D.C. Have hopes of making it back there to visit the Marine Corps Heritage Museum at Quantico. Depends on health issues.

    Permission to come aboard?

Thanks kindly, mustangman. Been to Texas a few times but never settled there. Great state. Have extended family which do live there, down around the Brownsville, McAllen, Harlingen area.

    Permission to come aboard?

Thank you, MSG Glenn. Wonder if they sell .22LR ammo at that Big PX? I cannot find it anywhere these days. Oh well. Hope I can add something to the forum, but can make no guarantees.

    How do you carry?

I carry everywhere I go, once I leave the interior of my home, including out in the yard. The only places I do not carry are the areas which restrict firearm possession to only those persons who have special authorization to carry there, such as government building and property, large venue...

    Permission to come aboard?

Just joined up. Reside in Michigan now. I learned my "gun craft" in the Marine Corps as a young man. Two tours in Vietnam as a grunt. Have held a variety of civilian jobs after being honorably discharged, including private security for an entertainer in Las Vegas awhile back. Getting a bit...
