I have a 2009 mp 5" pro 9mm and I had to change the front sight as well with a lower one from Dawson Precision. Even after swapping to a .160 front sight it still shot low. I now have a .0145 on the front and it seems about right. The 2009 pro has hardly any wear showing. I shoot a easy 2k- 4k...

Thanks guidedfishing I'll probably go that route with the DP adjustable rear sight. I installed one of their front sights that was lower around a .160 and it wasn't low enough. I'm probably about a 1" to 1.25" at 10 yrds, just looking to get it spot on.

Hey don't worry about it I'll just stick with my CZ and just leave the smith in the safe, it shoots right on the money probably not the shooter but the gun

anybody use a adjustable rear sight on a mp or mp pro? and if so could any make some good referrals to a good and what to stay away from. Thanks John

BTW it does have the smaller sear hole and spring, it is the older stlye.

I just was curious if the newer ones were that much better than the older models and if the newer updates made that much of a difference? Jim I couldn't agree with you more, mine shoots fine and if I ended up selling it for a newer model well lets say it would not be the first time I regretted...

No problems with the gun, newer models appear to have different back straps "gripper", the barrels look like they have a different lock up in the lug area, barrels now advertised with a 1/10 twist rate, improved sear block apex friendly. Other than that trigger pull and reset is great on mine...

you think a big company like S&W would take care of the problem, I called their customer service and they told me to look at aftermarket, they even recommended Dawson.
