I remove cylinder and crane then rap the top of the frame with a wooden mallet and the sideplate falls off.

Slim and trim, huh? I weigh 200 and too many and there is plenty hanging over my belt buckle, but thanks for the compliment.

I don't know if this will help you or not. This is a 4" Smith & Wesson Model 66. I'm 6'1" I do have some gut overhang. I've worn this daily for several years and haven't been "outed" yet.

I carried a 5 shot 2" Model 36 for years then went to a full size 1911A1 until I got a 2.5" Model 66. Now, the 2.5" seldom gets out of the case as I wear a 4" Model 66. I've worn the 4" daily for several years now. It pretty much suits me.

I'd jump on it. I've got 2 Model 66 revolvers, a 2.5" dash 2 and a 4" dash 1. The 4" is my daily carry gun. They're a great revolver.

Maybe only Kalifornia has September 31st.

I wear a revolver and switch out my carry ammo every 2 years. After 2 years, I use it for "practice" or informal target or the occasional varmint. I've never had 2 yr. old or older ammo fail to fire.
