I've dabbled with guns over the last twenty years... more as a novelty, rather than a hobby or enthusiast. I owned a 22 rifle, but most of my shooting happened with my brother's guns while visiting him. I finally made the plunge last December and bought a Walther PPS M1 (classic). It was a great entry level gun for me, but it could only take me so far.
I knew I wanted something more substantial and started researching heavily a couple weeks ago. After about 25 hours of reading reviews and watching youtube videos, I decided on the M&P 9L Performance Center pistol. It just seemed like the best bang (pun intended
) for my buck, and it was at the price point I was willing to pay for my 2nd handgun purchase. I should have it in hand Friday or next Tuesday, at the latest.
I would classify myself as a newbie, as i'm sure others would also. Looking forward to learning, and hopefully contributing as time goes forward.
I'll be visiting several local ranges and plan on becoming a member at one of them.
Thanks for your patience ahead of time.
